Hmm. The Rev. Dr. Newdow thing on his website is a bit much, I would say.

But then again, he isn't any less religious than the Rev. Dr. Jesse Jackson, so I guess if Jackson can pull it off, so can he.

With all due respect Mr.Newdow-- I sincerely Hope you never forget that Madalyn Murray O'Hair was very similar to you in many ways and that evil, possessed woman ,brought
upon herself-as you shall , all the curses of the Book
reserved for those who have rejected God,and break covenant.
I can't help your unbelief and your rebellious ungodly and
anti-American activities and idiology only serve to make me more determined to obey the commandments of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There was a time when I tolerated evil like you-I will be silent no more.In th ename of Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God I rebuke you -Get thee
behind me Satan. You can leave America and return to whatever Hell on earth you create for yourself don't expect me to follow.

My husband got his Rev. certificate from the change online church, of course his was purchased as a gag....BUT you know both he and Newdow are more educated than Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton, who have never completed any theological training. You too can become a REV at Univeral Church in California.

Don't help him. He's looking for ammunition for his next assault on our country's Judeo-Christian heritage.

Probably his greatest interest is fatherhood - he has a six year old daughter, for whom he has great hopes and plans.

IOW, like so many leftist fanatics, his child is a tool to further his political agenda. Excuse me while I vomit.

Dear Mr. Newdow.... and all professing atheists

With all due respect, I refer you to this recent article about one of the leading atheists in the world -- the respected and reknowned Mr. Anthony Flew, a philosophical scholar from the UK, who has commanded my respect by his intellectual honesty. enjoy the article as food for thought.

Blessings to all... here is the article:

*********************************

11 December, 2004
UNITED STATES
Atheist philosopher acknowledges the existence of God.

Anthony Flew, one of the world’s best known philosophical proponents of atheism, has conceded that scientific evidence points to the existence of God and that “a superior intelligence” must be involved.

New York (AsiaNews/CWN) – Anthony Flew, the British scholar who has been one of the world's most proponent of atheism, has conceded that scientific evidence points to the existence of God.

A prolific writer and energetic lecturer who has advanced atheist arguments throughout his long academic career, Flew made his dramatic concession at a conference in New York in which he recanted the ideology of a lifetime conceding that there is scientific evidence for the existence of God.

Flew said that the latest biological research “has shown, by the almost unbelievable complexity of the arrangements which are needed to produce (life), that intelligence must have been involved.”

Early this year, writing in Philosophy Now magazine, Flew had indicated that his commitment to atheism was wavering. He wrote: “It has become inordinately difficult even to begin to think about constructing a naturalistic theory of the evolution of that first reproducing organism.”

Flew credited a Texas Catholic, Roy Varghese, with helping to persuade him that biological research points to the workings of an intelligent creator. Varghese, the author of The Wonder of the World, organized the May conference at which Flew first questioned his own atheistic position.

Flew—whose 1984 essay, The Presumption of Atheism, fixed his place as the leading proponent of that view—emphasises that he has not accepted Christianity. He said: “I'm thinking of a God very different from the God of the Christian, and far and away from the God of Islam.”

He likened his current position to the deism of Thomas Jefferson, explaining that he is now sympathetic to the researchers who theorise about an ‘intelligent design’ in the working of creation.

Antony Flew conceded that some of his philosophical followers will be shocked by his announcement. But he said: “My whole life has been guided by the principle of Plato's Socrates: Follow the evidence, wherever it leads.”

He is the most disgusting man to walk the streets of the USA. I have NO idea why Fox News gives him so much face time. I just want to put my foot through the TV.

Linda Vester even had him on HER show yesterday. Totally disgusting.

In 1997, he started his second religious institution, the First Amendmist Church of True Science (FACTS). Although that ministry holds a firmly atheistic view of the world, it strongly supports the ideals behind the Religion Clauses of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

You've got to be kidding. So we have a religious institution whose founder is insisting that a government ceremony adhere to his own theology (which contradicts self evident fact established in the Declaration of Independence).

Assuming Rev Newdow does not base his believes on any spiritual experiences or super natural revelations, then the conclusion that there defiantly is not a God is completely irrational. Science has not yet given us a complete picture of matter in the natural universe, with debates raging over increasingly counter intuitive quantum mechanical models. If human intuition is so wanting in the natural universe, how incredibly absurd to trust human intuition to speculate about the super natural? And much more absurd is it to think of these speculations as knowledge derived by science.

I can respect the intellect of an agnostic, but I have trouble with atheists.
