STOP PRESS: Abu Musab al-Zarqawi captured by US forces in Iraq

3.1.05

12.00 GMT. IDAO exclusive. According to IDAO's own sources in Baghdad and Sulaimanya, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has been arrested in Bagouba by US forces.

The US occupation forces will cite this arrest as a victory for their war on terrorism. The people of Falluja in their demonstrations demanding US withdrawal of the last few days, which has topped 30,000 people according to news agency reports, have raised slogans distancing themselves from the Zarqwai group. The people of Falluja have repeatedly accused US forces of using Zarqawi as a pretext to demolish a city of 300,000 in an attempt to quell its resistance to the occupation. Many in the Iraqi resistance have expressed opposition to Zarqwi's methods in the past, who is regarded as a small force in the anti-occupation movement.

So don't post claims from some guy in London. I don't care what you do.

I found it, thought it was interesting and posted it...And didn't make any claims. It exists exactly as I found it. Or, are you saying everything that is posted here first hits Reuters or AP???

I can only assume most people can decide for themselves what's going on here...Just like I did.

I know I don't post claims from some guy in London with no credibility. You should wait until it hits Reuters or the AP first next time.

No you shouldn’t.

I like to read all the sources of information, sans an AP or Reuters filter.

That allows me to make my own decisions as to the veracity of a report.

My own decision is that this one is crapola, but thanks for posting it.

Has Weasley Clark been seen in route yet to defend the terrorist? ..."There's your sign!"

It appears, given the leftist slant of the site, I'm almost ready to call BS, even though I'm hoping it's true.

The way IDAO presents news, they probably would have posted it as "US soldiers manhandle suspected Al-Queada leader by rubbing napalm on him."

Posting this only feeds the misinformation. There are people that actually believe the rumors. My neighbor still thinks that voting rights for blacks will sunset in 2008 because some guy said so on a blog. You should have put in your comment "this is a rumor".

I don't concern myself with idiots when passing along something interesting.

You want to protect your neighbor? Feel free to take any steps you like. I don't care about him.

Here's news for you: "Osama bin Laden has been captured by Pakistani special forces Saturday." Some guy in Afghanistan told me so. I'll put it on my website later so it looks like real news and then you can post it here on Free Republic and see how many morons like me actually take the time to read these threads thinking it might actually be true this time.

Here's a good quote to follow: Don't believe what you read and only half of what you see.

What part of...

I wish they could understand that the more resistance, the longer we stay! If they want us out, they should just chill. When the country is stable our presense will diminish, but if they fight it will increase. Why can't they get it? I guess oppression is all they've ever known, and violence the only way to resist that they know. It is sad.

I do. The idiots always seem to vote Democrat. Therefore I concern myself with it. Just look at the DU... half of it's "news" comes from foreign bloggers like IDAO. If you don't set them straight, you'll get a 'brain vampire' like H. Clinton on the White House that thrives on nieve Americans. You should at least make a comment about the credibilty if you're going to post this stuff.

Here's news for you: "Osama bin Laden has been captured by Pakistani special forces Saturday." Some guy in Afghanistan told me so.

I judge your story to be false, without the assistance of Reuters or AP.

I'll put it on my website later so it looks like real news and then you can post it here on Free Republic and see how many morons like me actually take the time to read these threads thinking it might actually be true this time.

I know there are some “morons” who need Reuters or AP to weigh the “validity” of a story before they know whether on not to believe it. I am not one of them, and I don’t particulary trust either of those organizations.

Here's a good quote to follow: Don't believe what you read and only half of what you see.

That statement doesn’t make the slightest sense, so I hope you’ll forgive me if I ignore that incoherent advice. Some of the things I read are true. Some are false.

I have a variety of techniques I use in determining whether or not a statement I read is likely to be true or false. If my analysis turns out to be incorrect, I have only myself to blame.

IMHO, they don't want us out, they want us dead. If our guys stay, then there's an opportunity for the muslim radicals to kill them.

OK...Fine...

Yes sir. I'll follow all of your instructions in the future and I'll never again do what I want to do.

Happy now? End of discussion now?

"..I was just passing along something interesting I had found and expected others to make up their own minds."I've made up my mind...it's BS.

This would be a huge story to almost any news outfit, and nothing anywhere on the web except this rather questionable site.

If this had been a more reputable source, then it would have been worth posting, but this isn't the remotest bit interesting.
