don’t get it. My favorite columnists are writing volumes to hang Scott Peterson. Crowds at the courthouse resemble lynch mobs. Peterson is being compared to Hitler, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer and a hit list of gruesome ax murdering child molesters. But the columnists forgot one thing, where’s the evidence?
The news media has laughed a little too hard at the possibility of a satanic cult. If you do the research, there are THOUSANDS of unrecovered missing women and children in California that the media ignores. There ARE childhood survivors of satanic cults who have testified to graphic descriptions of siblings being tortured to death and satanism is on the increase. Recently in Italy, two teenage members of a heavy metal rock band called the “Beasts of Satan” were killed by other band members in a human sacrifice involving black candles, goats’ skulls and sexual violence. ROFLMAO...another idiot who doesn't get it. The calendars were created by ANTI-SATANISTS attempting to shock police officers in an "anti-gang" seminar. There's a whole cottage industry of self-appointed "Satanism" experts, typically fundivangelist types, running around speaking to law-enforecement groups touting their ideas of huge amounts of Satanists running around.

One has to wonder about this story. A law firm of that size usually does not begin a sentence in the middle. Yet looking at the site thats exactly how the article begins. "dont get it".

actually yeah he is. It wsa on Fox News today that he is trying to raise money for Scott's next trial. You know, after the appeal is allowed. Dumb Gloria Alred negotiated a book deal for Amber during the trial, which is grounds for an appeal in California.
So, if his case is appealed Amber wont be allowed to testify nor will the tapes be heard in the next trial. (If there is a next trial)
I dont really mean that Gloria is dumb, but if she negotiated or knew that Amber was negotiating she committed a big screw up-she should have known that.
You realize, of course, that convictions on a jury trial of this length are rarely overturned, even in California.

Why? The article is nutty. Talk of satanic cults is desperation, especially when Scotty was trying to skip town in a disguise with a boatload of cash.

I'm not sure what state many of you are from, but satanic ritual deaths DO happen in California. Apart from what I already knew myself, people are offering me books and research and all kinds of information about it, but I'm not putting my life on the line to bring it to attention when nothing will be done about it anyway. You can't find witnesses because they are so terrified you can't blame them. So the problem is, how do you prove it? Do I ignore the client privilege ethic I was under working for the county, talk about the case we had, name names, and disappoint my old boss? Do I ask the ex-Wiccan priestess to come out of hiding and testify to the things she knows? Do I turn in the ex-Satanist pastor and put his life in danger?
And you know, I don't buy a ton of those repressed memory things either, I can see how a therapist could easily plant ideas in people's minds and they start to believe what they imagine to be true...but I also know that the brain does protect us from some memories. I was brutally attacked when I was 18, and when I went to the police about it, they told me to write it all down in detail. I really didn't want to do that, it had just happened hours before and i didn't want to think about it, but they wouldn't let me wait because they said I would forget which I thought was ridiculous. But between the time I wrote it out and the time I testified, I was in shock about how much I had forgotten when I re-read what I wrote, and I knew it was all the truth. Your mind really does help you forget trauma. And the police know it too, they told me it would happen, and they were right. So even though I think a lot of those repressed memories are hooey, I do believe the mind will help us out.
And my son witnessed a crime when he was five, something so shocking and I was worried how it would effect him. He has no memory of it at all. I know five is young and we forget a lot from that age, but this...it's hard to believe anyone could ever forget that.
Anyway there is a second column that gives more detail. It is NOT about getting Peterson off death row, it's about our legal system, fairness, and yes, there are satanic rituals, God knows I wish there wasn't.
