Chief Petty Officer Troy Jenkins is calling on all Patriots

Do you really want to defeat Kerry as President?

Do you really feel deep down in your heart that this is the most important

Will you sit by and watch as others try to defeat him?

I'm sorry if you missed this and the other posts. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1258164/posts The other shoe will drop Sun.

Not a very friendly neighborhood here lately. I can't believe the cynicism and sniping going on over this. It was suggested on the swiftvets site that maybe the freepers could help. Who wudda thunk that they would be snubbed when they came here for ideas and help.

Eating our young, as was posted by someone else, is what is going on here. That, and protecting some imaginary electronic turf.

I once thought this was a pretty cool place. Now, everybody wants to be the next Buckhead, but nobody wants to go out to a rally and help the vets by getting a little fresh air and sunshine for a couple of hours. What a joke.

I hope they can pull it off. The deck's stacked against them, but the POWs sure do deserve this one.

The Swift Vets need our support. If it wasn't for them, Kerry would be +10 now. Sunday is going to be that day, that the TRUTH about Kerry is coming out.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some moles here (Hello Lockhart, suck an egg. You should be ashamed of yourself for intimidating a Fox News female reporter).

While I abhor the primarily-leftist technique of last-minute releases of information designed to sway the opinions of the "undecided", I agree that it's not too late.

More specifically, it's never to late to proffer the truth. My only hope is that -- whatever the outcome of the election -- the efforts of the brave men who have given so much to expose Kerry's unpatriotic activities and shameful behavior, are not forgotten. Whether Kerry is the sitting president or the pathetic losing candidate in the dirtiest, least honorable campaign in our country's history, I want the truth to come out.

The truth is the truth, and the quest for it should not be abandoned simply because it has no further political use.

We are positive that John Kerry was one of those dishonorably dismissed from the Navy for collaborating with the Viet Cong, after he was released from active duty but still in the Navy, and for a totally unauthorized trip to Hanoi.

This is the first time I have ever heard that Kerry visited Hanoi. I just don't think there is any there there. The official Navy records that have been released show that Kerry received an Honorable Discharge through the normal process and that he transitioned through the standard reserve process.

I base my observations on personal experience as a naval officer who served at the same time. I resigned my commission in 1972 after over 7 years of active duty and was transferred into the Standby Reserves. I received my Honorable Discharge on Feb 16, 1978, which was accompanied by the same letter Kerry received signed by Clayton.

Agree 100%. I see a lot of references to "we" and "us". I guess since this isn't a serious, meaningful FREEP, it must be bogus.

The official Navy records that have been released show that Kerry received an Honorable Discharge through the normal process and that he transitioned through the standard reserve process.

Now Navy Chief is trying to cobble together a cockamamie politicals stunt for the benefit of the very same old media that won't dig into Kerry in the first place. Why? What possible freaking sense does that make?

It's not that you're new, it's because a lot of us had never heard of Navy Chief before today, and he pooched his own thread at the Swift Vets site and messed up his credibility here big-time. What was the point of that jerk-around today? What's the point of this D.C. stunt that may not even come off?

Do you get the impression that some people are trying a little too hard to dissuade you?

The thread is still there. There are legalities involved since they are a 527(?)which is why you see the obligatory admin "warnings" and "disclaimers".

The discrepencies in the "official records" are explained. You might have to read a little, including the FBI surveilance obtained through FOIA.

They have been digging for the "proof" for weeks and finally hit paydirt last night.

I have long been a lurker here. I started following the flow at SBVT several months ago, and found them to be very serious and credible. There is a lot more "analysis" and less "cheerleading".

THEY have a track record or getting visibility and attention.

There is way too much ego here (i.e. NIH sysndrome), but little in the way of "track record" of "making a difference". The "proof" that some request will not be published here, for reasons that should be obvious.

Would you prefer they lay out the whole plan in this open, public forum in advance of the rally/press conference?

I wouldn't.

I see a lots of concern for "our reputation". Perhaps you should ask yourselves "Who knows or cares what FR thinks?". Certainly not the MSM.

Do you assume that the general (voting)public will get their information from this site?

Do you think that you can make a difference in this election?

Unfortunately many still get it from the MSM. They have the power, influence exposure and attention. Use it. That is the secret of asymmetrical warfare. Divide and conquer. The Leftists have understood that message for a long time.

The Truth Is Out There - You can wait and read about it on Drudge & elsewhere, or you can help make it happen.

All they are asking for is people to show up, so that they can't be ignored by the MSM.

There are plenty of seats in the bleachers for spectators.

Your choice.

I admit I had some trouble following your meandering musings, but the bottom line is that you need some real proof, not allegations. I don't buy the "just trust us and show up." I did attend the O'Neill et al rally on the Capitol grounds in September. It was not a large crowd, but we were enthusiastic and committed. Why? Because we had facts.

I agree. Who cares about "our reputation"... especially if just because we failed to act and massive voter fraud, Kerry is able to win the election by 0.1%. Is "our reputation" more important than 4 years of appeasement that could set the World back 20 years on the War on Terror. Bill Clinton dropped the ball on Saddam, Sudan, Bin Ladin, and North Korea, and the World is still cleaning up his mess.

The rally is a means to get media coverage, which our side is not getting at the moment because MSM and Kerry are controlling the news cycle. Who Dares Wins.

Nothing against some of those that have been around on FR for awhile and have been vouching for this, and I think we all know J eFfin K had a less than honorable discharge, but in addition to those that are long time FR posters, there is also a very large number of people vouching for this that have October xx, 2004, as their start up date.
I'm going to consider this a non story and forget about it.

Bingo. Two more points:

1. If these folks have proof that Kerry violated an underaged sheep I'll tell everyone I know, but I want to see some DNA-stained wool first. A failed October surprise will rebound on the President, which brings us to the second point...

2. As numerous freepers have pointed out, their handling of the situation is horrible. Even if the shoe drops today, the impact won't be optimal, and the longer they wait...

Since you quoted me, you should have credited me, and pinged me while you were at it.

Newsflash for you: the original thread isn't there.

No one's trying to dissuade the Navy Chief, he's being called on to back his play, a play that he took a knee on yesterday afternoon with open receivers. He said he had a former Navy Secretary and the person who gave Kerry his less than honorable discharge. Where's the beef, Chief?

Drudge I know, and Lehman I know, but who are you?

I am nobody and have always been nobody. Personally knowing Drudge and Lehman I know you are a mover and shaker. Perchance why don't you call them and get the low down instead of trying to stop what my be one of the most important election issues in this campaign. I mean with a call you could settle this, why not call?

Personally knowing Drudge and Lehman I know you are a mover and shaker.

Sorry; didn't mean to imply that I know them personally. That line was a paraphrase of a bible verse. I meant that Drudge and Lehman have long track records.

Let me put the shoe on the other foot: If you have hard evidence, call them yourself. Show me some proof and I'll do everything I can to help you get your story out, and I suspect that 99% of FR will do the same.

As other posters have pointed out, the MSM wouldn't cover this important story if it painted itself purple and danced on their desks singing "I'm an Important Story!" Your only chance is the blogsphere and talk radio, and every moment you delay is valuable propagation time lost. If your evidence is the personal testimony of a big cheese, record a video and stream it. If your evidence is documents, scan'em and post'em. You want my help? SHOW ME THE EVIDENCE!
