What a great picture!
Its hard to believe that these, our parents, were once young with hope and a whole life ahead of them.
I am sure you will continue the line and legacy in the highest traditions.
My prayers and condolensces for you and your family.

I am sorry for your loss my friend.
Take comfort in the REALITY that he has not ceased from existing...he has simply moved to a newer, better address.
...and eventually, you will see his smiling face again. He's not lost, he simply left.
Comfort your family...and take comfort in them....stay strong Bro.

Great picture...
...and I can almost smell the air as I lived in South Hadley [south of Holyoke] when I was a young boy.

Race: You and your family are in my prayers.
My husband was born in Windsor Locks, btw, and we lived the first few years of our married life there.

Race, please accept my condolences. My dad was just a few years younger than yours, and was a Massachusettes fellow also. His family hailed proudly from Worcestor, and I think our parents got married about the same time. My dad was also a sailor too, I wonder if they might not have crossed paths at some point.
I like the Salvation Army take on all this, "promoted to glory", I'm sure your dad was!
With my best regards,

My condolences to you and your family. It is sad to see a loved one suffer from Alzheimers.
BTW: I can see the family resemblence.
