Can’t believe I beat you to it.
Best,

There are dealerships who add gps trackers to vehicles to help facilitate repos.
This is especially true if it’s a Dodge Challenger or Charger, a Chevy Camaro, or Ford Mustang and the clientele fits a certain “profile”.
Wow. You don’t pay your bills then threaten someone else with a gun for Doug. Their job and you end up being shot and you, who threatened others are the victim.
Sad this guys dead but you threaten others lives you aren’t the victim, when you wind up getting shot yourself.
The guy’s skin color has nothing to do with the truck being repo’d.
The media just has to stir that pot, every single time.
Most people would be well surprised at the level of professionalism that recovery agencies have. They are million dolar companies with huge overhead expenses with trucks, gas, tires, salaries and insurance.
The idiot image that Repo TV shows portrayed some years ago is just made for TV drama.
So yes, there are repo alliances and other organizations that cater to the recovery industry.
I still would want to see the recordings.
I check our account pretty much every day to make sure things happen when they should and to challenge anything happening that should not have but that is not the way everybody does it.
There was a movie called Repo Man .
….
Indeed. I was surprised and found it quite interesting. There is money at stake, and when there is, I’ll wager it isn’t some guy in greasy coveralls putting the hook on the car.
That guy we talked to on our flight certainly didn’t appear to fall into the stereotype of a “Repo Man” to me!
Seemed more like an IT guy or an industrial manager.
This is the UK Daily Mail - I wish I had a nickel for everything about the US they get completely wrong. They intentionally slant any known or unknown facts to show the US as a barbarous and corrupt nation.
Here, the most likely event was that the fellow asked if he could/should move the vehicle and the police anticipating an EMT van needing access, asked him to pull it out of the driveway.
Ok.
That’s interesting. Seems illegal, or unethical, but I admit to not knowing much about that. I guess in some places you might have to.

Seven Most Common Illegal Repossession Tactics
No matter who starts the threats , if violence becomes a possibility, then the repossession agent must stand down and leave the scene. Continuing in a repossession that has turned violent is a breach of peace that turns a legal repossession into an illegal one.
Yeah, I agree.
I don’t understand why anyone would hold on to a gun when a police officer is standing there with his weapon drawn telling you to put it down. The cop may be in the wrong and you may be in the right, but there’s plenty of time to prove all that later. Put the weapon down and stay alive to sue another day.
I guess you have a point. I had a retail creditor suddenly stop sending me bills and it made me late once. I hate that whole establishment now. But hate borrowing in general. I hate the auto industry too, especially the fascist, overpriced, bailed-out, politically-owned, so-called American ones.
Who’da thunk it-A Repo Man Convention. What must that be like?
Probably right next to the hooker convention.
The Truck is, of course, owned by the Finance Company/Bank until the loan is paid off in full.
Hence they called out the Repo Man to get THEIR Truck back from the Guy not keeping up with the payments.
Losing Your life over a Repo action is really sad. Especially since the option is usually available to catch up on the payments and get the Truck back.
Repo guys, like the cops, are really just caught in between people in trouble/with problems and companies who want their items back.
They are the ones that face the frustrations of the people in trouble/with problems.
Probably should have left them take the truck.
