DEAR ABBY: I’m a 32-year-old woman. My 20s were spent in a serious long-term relationship. It was a lot of firsts for me. After we split, I took a couple of years to sow my wild oats and find out who I am as an individual.
I’m now looking for something more than “friends with benefits.” However, the last few men I’ve met and gone on dates with, as wholesome as they seemed on dating sites (which have been my main source of meeting men), were really just looking for hookups. I want to find a life partner.
I have been chatting with a potentially great guy I met online, and we have a date scheduled. But I’m nervous that when we meet that he’ll expect more than a date. I’m over that. Like I said, I want an actual relationship.

“What she didn’t know was he also texted 5 or 6 others women the same suggestion. First to reply won! The rest were left out wondering what happened. They replied too late or with the wrong answer like “let’s do next Friday for dinner..”
As a man this sounds exhausting. Does he have to communicate all week with each of them? Or is it just “wanna hook up?”
It’s a player’s tactic to get sex. He tells the woman, that he choose that, if she doesn’t put out, he’ll just call the second one on his list.

Maybe it's that divorced men have adjusted to living with half of the assets they had when they were married, and are more focused on growing the nest egg that remains?
What is the saying, "once bitten, twice shy?"

Try joining a book club or go to church
Neither of those is true.
You should trademark the term, “Passport Sis,” while you have the chance.
“Guys Only Want One Thing”
Well if that “one thing” is all she has to offer then you can’t blame the guy.
Woke aerospace corporations (that rhyme with Gaytheon) have a Goal to have 50% female managers by 2030.
An Aerospace Company... 50% managed by women... in less than 7 years. My Aerospace engineerng class 35 years ago was less than 15% women. Nearly everyone of them met THE guy in college and coasted after that. If they don't meet The Guy in college, they meet him in their first 5 years in a male dominated workplace. They get their pick and their clock is ticking.
Women that go into aerospace are "Daddy's girls". Daddy wants grandkids.
Woke marxist Gender studies professors can't change thousands of years of natural selection.
You should trademark the term, “Passport Sis,” while you have the chance.
Think I will, thanks!
Is there a hole in the account?
Maybe she should start by repenting of her sins and following Christ. If she is truly in God’s will, then God will put her in the path of the man He has chosen for her.

I stopped reading comments at this one. This is the one that I know works .... I have seen it multiple times, the last a beloved niece, now a happy wife and mom of two, her dream come true. So far, the ‘perfect’ match has come along - prayers, trust in the Lord, and lots of patience ... it’s worth the wait.
—> and XXL men’s clothes too,
😂
You beat me!
You paint with a broad brush in your comment/assumption/slander. That’s why it’s rude.
Furthermore, how is it that you know the homosexual hangouts?
..you see how that works both ways?
And now you pile on and direct your rudeness toward me?
“In case you’ve been away for a while, ...the gays have pretty much taken over most of the mainstream denominations”.
Away from WHAT EXACTLY?
Your insinuations are precariously close to false accusations. Careful!
First, I don’t attend a “mainstream denomination”
Second, if the church I attended had any inkling of homosexual proclivity, I’d leave. FAST!
Please be mindful in wielding your sword.
...A double edge sword cuts both ways
Respectfully.

It’s not that men only want one thing. It’s that some women only have one thing to offer that makes them tolerable to be around.
There’s an old saying that if “Women didn’t have a pussy, there would be a bounty on their heads.”
Don’t know if it’s true or not...but that’s out there.
That is an interesting take. Could you explain your reasoning for that conclusion? Guys not wanting a woman who has spent her prime years "Riding the baloney pony" and avoiding all other relationships is feminist in nature?
Maybe you’re on the wrong forum.
Maybe you’re simply crass and uncouth.
...or attend too many homosexual events.
