Another person compared the group the white supremacist rioters in Charlottesville in 2017 tweeting: 'I spoke out against white supremacists marching in Charlottesville, and I must speak up against the Black Hebrew Israelites, for hate is hate, and we must call it out no matter what form it takes.'

Commentator John Sexton pointed out: 'If you had a right wing group chanting this kind of anti-Semitic ideology about the Jews in Brooklyn, it would be on the front page of the NY Times tomorrow.'

What is old is new. In 1991, my parents split time between Israel and Crown Heights when my father worked in the USA.

Had the joy of having our front door locked in during the Crown Height Pogrom, lead by Rev. Al and the mayor.

As both sides want to be "real Jews" maybe the AJC should instead view it as an opportunity for Jewish ecumenism and evangelization.
Black Hebrew Israelites are the equivalent of Christian Identity (White Nationalists) and they both share many of the same ideas of what we Jews are. I deal with both sides on a regular basis. Most are allergic to facts. On Saturday, I was arguing with one pinting out the fact that Samaritans and European Jews carried similar Y-Chromosomal alleles.
