A Republican candidate in the packed Republican Primary for Oregon Governor has been forced to admit he was a swinger after his posts on a private Facebook group were leaked ahead of the race.
Stan Pulliam, who is also the mayor of his hometown of Sandy, told his local paper that he and his wife of 12 years MacKensey 'ultimately decided' that the lifestyle 'wasn't for us,' but that he is 'not ashamed' of the decisions they 'made in the privacy of [their] own home.'
The 40-year-old told the Williamette Week that he and MacKensey, 'explored relationships, mutual relationships with other couples, for a brief period of time.'
'Several years ago, MacKensey and I, as a couple explored relationships with other couples for a brief period of time before we ultimately decided to focus solely on each other, our marriage and our family,' he expounded in a statement sent to DailyMail.com
'And ever since, day in and day out, we’ve worked as a team to strengthen our family and to create a better community and state for our girls, and the hundreds of thousands of kids just like them, so they can safely grow up, live, work and stay right here in Oregon.'
Pulliam was pushed to speak out about his unusual married life after Facebook posts and a photo from Portland's Erotic Ball in 2011 surfaced. In it, the couple talk about being excited to join the swinging community and he even comments on illicit photos of other members.
It is unclear what effect the uncovered posts will have on Oregon's Republican primary, set for May 17. However, Pulliam is a favorite to win in the liberal state, and he has said he has no intentions of pulling out.

There are lots of people, even some of your friends, that do unconventional things within the marriage relationship.
I’m in agreement with you about marriage. I am a member of a divorce site and the most common reason why women stray is because the man did not protect the marriage. Either he was unfaithful, or he pushed for a threesome and the woman decided she liked the other penee better, or that the man neglected woman emotionally.
Between two Republican candidates, I will choose the conventional marriage one. However, my priority is financial because America can’t survive flagrant spending forever.
As per The Green Pages, there are 34 people running for Governor of Oregon. 14 Democrats, 19 Republicans and one Unaffiliated (former Dem). With federal candidates, they post their FEC fundraising numbers so you can get a feel for who his real or not. The Secy of State is list 30 candidates having filed by paying a fee.
Fee: $100 or
Petition: 1,000 signatures from members of the candidate’s same political party, including at least 100 signatures from each of Oregon’s federal congressional districts. (Pretty easy to achieve Maine with a third of population requires 2,000 signatures and no fee option).

A Republican candidate in the packed Republican Primary
What is the agenda in this article?
Why do you ask?
I'm honestly not trying to start an argument. Would someone's behavior in the bedroom stop you for voting for them?
I meant to note that the party nomination deadline is March 8, 2022 so there could be more.
I don’t think that Trump openly defended his previous immoral lifestyle. Regardless, I considered Trump a much needed chemotherapy treatment needed to shake up and dispell the deep state establishment in the federal government. I know he is far more immoral than a lot of his opponents in this regard.
In a sane world, I would have voted for another candidate. I did in the primary.
That’s because the left always plays to win.
Any candidate with an R after their name gets an anal exam.
But this guy in Oregon didn't cheat on his wife or get divorced. He and his wife both consented to try something in their bedroom. Was it smart to put it on social media? No! But I'm not going to knock a married couple for informed consensual behavior.
Kate Brown was outed in a similar manner. Being a Republican will be more of a hindrance in the general, if he gets there.
A quick perusal of campaign finance reports shows him third in Republican financing, the others had raised less the $100,000. The Dems have three heavy hitters.
Republican
Christine Drazan $1,104,179.21
Stan Pulliman $355,569.21
Bridget Barton $428,191.87
Democrat
Tobias Read $587,716.79
Tina Kotek $944,002.91
Nicholas Kristof $2,079,184.18 (Occupation: Journalist, Author, Farmer)*
Nonaffiliated
Elizabeth (Betsy) Johnson $3,811,098.04
On January 6, 2022, Shemia Fagan, the Oregon Secretary of State, announced that Kristof was ineligible to run as he was judged not to have met the state’s residency requirements. Kristoff said he would challenge the decision in court.
You have to have been a resident for 3 years prior to running.
In ruling he has not, elections officials in Fagan’s office focused on Kristof’s record of voting in New York state as recently as the 2020 general election. But they said their case was bolstered by his decision to maintain his New York drivers license through December 2020 and to continue paying New York income taxes well past the November 2019 deadline for a 2022 gubernatorial candidate to establish residency in Oregon.
True marriage is the basic building block of society. “Swinging “ among other sexual evils damages children - yes children - in permanent and serious ways. Perhaps you will assert that had your mom and dad had boyfriends over it would not have harmed you. Wrong. It would have destroyed you.
And out of wedlock babies are made, and STDs are rampant, and people are emotionally and psychologically destroyed, and the poverty of essential or actual divorce is promoted, with accompanying welfarism …
That is not ONE GOOD that comes from this sexually compulsive indulgence and so much serious bad.
No leader of mine will get my vote. Regretted and in the past, yes. You have to leave room for people to mature. Trump is a faithful husband and father now. I don’t require every candidate to have behaved perfectly just to have demonstrably the right values at this time. Mr Weirdo seems to think his behavior was perfectly fine. I’d fight to keep him out of office.
The posts of the libertarian types in this thread are idiotic, clueless, and cruel. America is great because it is good. When it ceased to be good, it ceased to be great
One man one woman committed marriage caring for their children will restore this nation. Acting like sexual misbehavior has no consequences for our society is fantastically obtuse.
The US is great when it embraces freedom and protects US citizens Constitutional rights.
I don’t disagree that swinging is not a good lifestyle, but it’s not your job or mine to try to impose our moralistic views and behaviors on others. They have the freedom to organize their lives the way they want, just like you and I. The government was not created to make sure all citizens do the right thing. As long as people are not in violation of the law they can do as they please and you and I are not empowered to stop them and make them behave the way you want them too. It’s that thing I keep harping about, that God gave us, it’s called free will. Deal with it.
Good social policy protects and defends that family. Otherwise the price to pay is extreme human suffering, poverty, criminality, and all the other social ills that come from screwed up kids. If you can’t see that you have your head in the sand.
Libertarians say wait until the drunk driver kill’s someone then arrest them. Conservatives say we know drunk driving causes a lot of death and injury it is illegal to drink and drive.
Sexually immoral lifestyles destroy people and society pays an incalculable price. It must be discouraged not just g tied or condoned.
Btw Free Republic is an officially God fearing and pro family site.
As stated before you fanatics don’t think, you simply repeat straw-man arguments which are frankly, stupid. You are not empowered to play God and make mortal judgements about other people. You are just another of the many religious fanatic busybodies that try to assume control of other people’s lives. You’re a total unmitigated fraud.
One other thing, I do not fear God. So don’t bother wasting your time trying to intimidate me into not posting here. As I said you’re a total fraud as are most religious fanatics.
um, yes and no.
sometimes i van really make a good milkshake ;)
The destruction of the family and especially children is not stupid. You are the fanatic. Hell bent on undermining the only institution between us and total social breakdown to defend your personal perversions.
“ Welcome to Free Republic!
Conservatives for God, Family, Country!
Est. 1996”
You keep repeating that the destruction of the family is a bad thing. I have agreed with you on that point. But there’s really nothing one can do about other people’s morally bad behavior if they’re not breaking the law. That is my entire point yet you seem to think that I am supporting the swinger lifestyle and that’s simply untrue. So let me try another tact, what should we do about people who behave immortally but are not breaking the law. Do you want to have a morality police like in muslim countries? What do you want done?
Yes
There is
Something we can do to protect kids from the morally bad behavior of adults.
We can punish and disincentivize such things as adultery, weird marriage redefinitions, no fault divorce, molestation, physical abuse, drug abuse, and neglect.
These need societal stigma and penalties. And the opposite behaviors need reward.
It’s pretty basic.
