So I'm on this debate on Twitter.
Here, fellow FReepers is the God's honest truth.
I am 53 years old. I'm not a recluse. I have family, friends, co-workers, all over the United States. I'm socially active.
I do not know a single person who has died from Covid. I do not know a single person who has been hospitalized with Covid. I have not once received a phone call that someone I know has died from this.
I DO KNOW several people who have gotten Covid, all have recovered. Most said it felt like a weird cold. One friend of mine said it kicked his ass. None of them went to the hospital with it. All have been fine.
I read about hospitals overwhelmed with patients on life support, dying.
Seriously, am I living some strange sheltered existence where this disease doesn't exist?
I knew nobody before Delta.
I now know 3 who have died in rhe last couple of months.
One from high school, one through work and my accountant.
I don’t know of anyone either.
I know two people who have.
How many people have you known in your life directly who drowned? I know of two personally and one that I saw in real time.
How many people have you known who die of sunstroke? I don't directly know of any.
How many people have you personally known who died in a pedestrian accident? I don't know of any.
Car accidents? Well, we all know quite a few people in that group. Often people close to us.
And so on. The point is, how many do you know personally who have died of chronic respiratory disease. I know quite a few. Most people probably do.
So, when you think about "Who do I know who died of nearly any cause, there is cancer, heart disease, accidents, then you start getting into things that get rarer. For people under 60 dying from COVID, it doesn't surprise me at all.
Two people who have died and two hospitalised.
Honestly, I'm not trying to make a political statement here.
I trust FReepers and I'm trying to gage the truth.
Seems from reading this far, there are several here who have lost people to Covid, and several others who know no one who has died from it.
And I ask this because I pretty much live my life as though Covid never existed. Except, I got vaxxed. Other than that. I go everywhere maskless and don’t worry about it at all.
I know about 5 people, including a 12 year old who had a prior condition that would’ve taken her in a few years.
Also more likely to take a test. So....
I know three people who’ve died of COVID in the last several weeks. They were members of my church. Two were not vaccinated; the third might not have been, either. These were individuals I knew and spoke to when I met them each Sunday. There may be others in my church who have died from COVID. The minister has conducted 18 funerals since August. He has referred in prayers to “this horrible disease.”
All three who I know of were guys—one was 52 years old, the second was 64, the third was an 83-year-old guy who jogged and exercised and was in good health.
All three ended up hooked to ventilators in the ICU. Unresponsive, body temperature tanking, pupils dilated. All in the ICU now suffering from COVID were not vaccinated.
You’re not alone. I don’t personally know anyone who died from Covid; my mom did go to the hospital (for one day). I also don’t know anyone who died from the vaccine, although I know one person who suffered a heart attack. My own experience of having Covid was uneventful.
I know three who died, all unvaxed.
I have a friend who has been triple-vaccinated, and left the hospital to go to a long-term care facility. He is 83, but was in good health and active before. I would not be surprised if he never goes home. I also know someone about 60 years old who was sick in 2020, but recovered completely. That is all I know personally. No, I don’t personally know anyone who has died from covid or the vaccines.
About half of my relatives have taken the mRNA treatment. They have had no adverse reactions.
About half of my relatives have not taken the mRNA treatment. None have had any serious illnesses that required hospitalization.
Some of my relatives have had COVID and recovered without incident. They were "unvaccinated" and had positive test results. They believe they are now naturally immune.
Some of my relatives who were "vaccinated" believe they got COVID after they were "vaccinated". They did not get tested to confirm those thoughts and they recovered from whatever it was that ailed them. They believe they are immune from COVID as a result of their vaccinations. Yes, that last bit seems rather contradictory, but that is how it is.
My husband and I had it last December and recovered. It was uncomfortable, but not horrible. Two of my adult children and a daughter in law just recently recovered from it.
I don’t personally know anyone who has died from it.
I met a woman who was suffering from the shot for months. And I also know a 39 year old vaccinated woman who suddenly died from a blood clot to her brain. Was it related? How can it be proven?
There is something wrong about all of this, yet our government is NOT investigating the origins.
One personal friend died of covid, one more distant family member died.
One friend was in the hospital 60 days, on a vent and nearly died several times. Still not recovered and that was over a year ago.
Just this week had an acquaintance die but she was 93. She’d been vaxed twice and had a booster.
Husband was in the hospital 11 days, terribly long recovery but finally better (one year later), took about 6 months before he was halfway normal. Was otherwise healthy.
Another two friends hospitalized but recovered.
Everyone else got sick (myself included) and got better within a few days.
For some reason, some people just get it really, really bad and other people not much more than a cold. I’ve been far sicker with other illnesses than covid.
I know one first hand, and several one-offs.
The one I knew had NUMEROUS co-morbidities. Though he was only 46, he weighed over 400 pounds, had diabetes and Multiple Sclerosis.
I have no idea if he had shots or not, or what else he did, as I moved and he didn’t, though we kept in some communication, especially since we both got jobs with the same company and were on related teams.
The proprietor of an excellent Italian deli in Phoenix dies last year. He was in his ‘70s. He had no co-corbities that I knew of.
Died of Covid: 0
Died of vaxx: 4
Injured by vaxx:3
I know of one. Thankfully nobody else. My kids grandma. RiP. She passed in 2020 before the vax.
She did have heart problems and copd. Was operated on earlier that year. Was in the hospital for 3 weeks before getting covid and passing. She was a good lady. Her son and his family had it around the same time. They were all fine.
Just my report.
Thank you, Simone.
