(CNN)The spread of the Delta coronavirus variant in the United States has some experts questioning whether it should be time to start testing even vaccinated people for the virus.
Although health officials have said evidence shows vaccinated people are unlikely to spread the virus to others, Dr. Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, says it may be important to watch to make sure the more transmissible Delta variant does not evade the effects of vaccines.
Current guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says fully vaccinated people can refrain from routine testing.
"I think now we should revisit this policy with the Delta variant and determine if the current recommendations hold up," Hotez wrote in an email to CNN on Wednesday.
Plus, the CDC is only reporting data on "breakthrough" infections that cause severe disease.
That could mean scientists and health officials will not know how many vaccinated people have mild or asymptomatic infections -- and it will be very difficult to track whether a new variant such as Delta is causing more vaccine failure.
"We need to design studies. Assuming this is underway, then the question comes, do we wait for those studies or change recommendations now and reconsider regular testing for asymptomatic vaccinated individuals?
Given how disruptive this is, I would probably be inclined to wait for additional data before going backwards," Hotez wrote.

Gee, you would think the medical community would be in sync regarding COVID-19, especially in light of their expert opinions in early 2020 to shut down the country. There are a lot of lamp posts in this country in need of some wear and tear.

Why shouldn’t vaccinated people be tested?
I saw a pediatrician tonight at a public function. She was one of a very few wearing a mask. She has no doubt been vaccinated. But she was wearing her mask in public. She might’ve been double masked. She was double masked the last time we saw her in her office. (early last fall. we’ve seen other doctors ever since because i decided she is a nut/zealot.) If she needs to wear a mask, then sick vaccinated people need to be tested.
If the CNN report is accurate, and they’re not testing asymptomatic vaccinated people for the virus, then it’s not even a medical trial, not a good one, anyway. Comparing counts of Covid “cases”, vaccinated vs unvaccinated, becomes nearly worthless.

The “experts” are afraid to test vaccinated people for Covid because it might show their still positive for Covid. The “breakthrough” cases are just the tip of the iceberg.
OH YES! I got a name for them who had 4 tests done for this thing in the local hospital. Every one negative.
He dammed near died after he went to Green Bay and they put him in ICU for 16 days after they tested him positive.

Why bother if you have no symptoms? The test is rigged to show positive even if you are not infected.

I just found out today that the local office of a multinational corporation is not only requiring proof of ‘vaccination’ for even entering the building, but vendors without such much provide a negative test result EACH VISIT.

I seriously doubt that they dare begin testing to show just how useless the shots are to the healthy, because WE ALL KNOW how totally useless the tests are as well (imagine the results with all the false positives).
I think that the only “trial” happening, is to see if enough Americans will let the government inject whatever it wants, into their arm.
It’s going well, so far - for the government.
