Pence who?
GOP depends upon the lesser of 2 evils for their votes from the base.
Pence, like any other R politician, figures that fear of a 2nd Harris term will motivate the base.
Mike Pence wasn't even a candidate in the Republican primaries in 2016 -- the best opportunity anyone ever would have had to get the GOP nomination in an open field of candidates.
I'm sure he knows better than anyone that he doesn't stand a chance in hell of winning the Republican nomination -- let alone getting elected President.

Mike Pence can’t wait to move into that nice lake front property next to Bernie Sanders.

You are right to call out this sentence. This is pure editorial and would require that the reporter either: 1) was a mind reader, or 2) had a direct quote from Pence saying this. Neither of which is true.
Pence has precisely Z-E-R-O (and I mean ***ZERO***) chance of winning the 2024 nom.

I heard on Christian radio a while back that Pence was following Billy Graham’s policy.

Speculation is anything you want it to be the media has been doing it for years and the have a very bad record of doing so.
Oh the PTB will see to it he gets nominated. I’m pretty sure that was his price. He will get fewer votes than any presidential nominee in history.
