CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CN) — A lawsuit California Congressman Devin Nunes filed in Virginia against California-based media giant McClatchy will live to see another day after a judge called Wednesday for more discovery on personal jurisdiction. Nunes, who seeks $150 million in damages, brought the suit last year in Albemarle Circuit Court, claiming that the publisher had conspired with Republican operative Elizabeth Mair to tarnish his reputation.

i dare you to touch the air of freedom i dare you.
Man, this is some esoteric forensic machination.
Just when one of our guys might win something, they file BK.
That second sentence is a handful.
whatcha wanna bet the nunes suit is why they filed bankrupt
I don’t think Babblefish could do anything for that.
My thoughts too. Just seems too coincidental. I’m hopeful Nunes feels the same and will be looking deep into their shenanigans.

Read the linked article and compare it with the excerpt.
"Purporting to have been injured in Virginia, Nunes cites a story published in his local paper, The Fresno Bee, that linked his winery to a charity cruise company involved in cocaine- and prostitute-fueled parties."
Better article on same subject. Gives detail of what this is about.
There is a video interview with Hannity and Nunes at the link
That might be why the Judge is doing this...it’s called Fraud.
Yes, much better article.
The unanswered question...who is Republican Liz Mair and why did she conspire with the McClatchy organization to attack Devin Nunes?
What? The OP excerpted it. You had nothing to do with it.
FR has had problems in the past over copyright violations from sources which object to having their entire works being copied verbatim and posted on other sites. As a result of a lawsuit (or lawsuits), FR posters have ever since been required to excerpt content from certain sources, and in some cases, only provide links.
The whole point of excerpting is to avoid pesky or malicious lawsuits, and inherent in that is the need to copy the material correctly, without garbling or distorting it.
It makes no sense to complain about "fake news" and then create your own fakery and potentially expose FR to further legal action. FR is too important a resource to take that risk.
