This bit of hypocrisy just hit me. California doesn't want a border with Mexico, but you have to go through a border check if you are coming from Arizona.

If you were on I8, I used to work in that now-abandoned building right across from it. It’s an agriculture inspection station. California is more worried about fruit flies in your lunch basket than about illegal aliens. Simple reason: fruit flies cost the big bucks ag interests money, aliens provide them cheap labor.
Theyll soon be searching for guns and ammo.
and woe betide if you have an old banana skin in your car...
Its something out of a fiction novel!
There are over 100 million gun owners with trillions of rounds of ammunition. If there was a problem, you’d know it. Those are trite comments by gun haters “well if it saves one life it’s worth it” ... how about personal responsibility? Why should my gun rights be threatened by one or two nuts ever so often? You’ll notice that all those gun shootings are in “Gun Free Zones”.
PS: Deaths from car accidents? Deaths from alcoholism. Deaths from drugs? Knifing’s? Spread out I guess that’s not really a crisis, huh?
Those are trite comments by gun haters well if it saves one life its worth it
But why would you want to?
After I posted I said to myself “whoops, I think that was sarcasm but too late” - have to read more into stuff. Or not. I like to say my sarcasm is so sophisticated people think I’m an idiot.
My undocumented banana skin was separated from me at this border...
SOB
Usually, in my experience, I’m effectively waived for inspection — meaning traffic is guided to unmanned booths, through which we then speed, even though we’re supposed to be inspected for out-of-state agricultural goods and, presumably, animals and invasive species (plant and animal).
Correction: I have NEVER been inspected. I just zipped right through.
