A message for white people:
I know how jarring it may be to hear a non-white person, or maybe anyone, even say the words “white people,” as it can take on a pejorative connotation. That’s fine. This isn’t always comfortable to have to say, but that doesn’t make it any less true, necessary, or timely.
Before I get started, I want to be clear, this is for all white Americans. To my friend, to my foe. To my colleagues, my contemporaries, and my competitors. To the professional athlete and the pee-wee league coach. To my family members. From late night hosts to news anchors, faith leaders to police officers. School teachers, small business owners, and service workers. For allies and detractors, everyone.
I don’t have to waste much of my word count on how Donald Trump has been trying to bring us together… around dividing us into sides. It’s not necessary to explain the ways in which his rhetoric - via speeches at rallies, non-stop tweets, and numerous pieces of policy - has sought to elevate the discourse… to just beneath the floorboards.
There is more than enough coverage on all of that, but what this president has done to you, whether you voted for him or not, is put you into an awkward position that either requires your vocalizing your opposition to separate yourself or gleefully accepts your consent by only requiring you do nothing.
Yes, white people your trial subscription to Donald Trump’s America is over and you have to opt-out or start paying for it.
Sorry, but not sorry, you’re going to have to take a side. And yes, you have to do it now.....

One would hope so, but by all present indications, it looks like the eventual clash will be much, much broader than that.
T suspect it will play out something similar to when Pakistan split off from India. During the colonial era, the heavy hand of the British military kept the peace between the Hindus and the Muslims, but that ceased when independence came.
The ensuing chaos resulted in so much bloodshed, the only way to end it was to separate those people.
There are also lots of trashy white folks.
They are also accused of being "Uncle Toms" and "Acting White."
It has long been the tradition here to post articles for discussion that will not be in line with the general beliefs of regulars here. This is done in order to understand what is out there- knowing what is being pushed to the liberals is pretty important. FR has never been a site where only "good news" is posted.

I’ve heard most of Donald Trump’s speeches and read the transcripts. I have seen NOTHING that divides us other than into Americans and Not Americans, which means not citizens or residents.
Every quote the Left takes out of context is PATENTLY out of context. Since running for President he has never said any divisive words to separate. Leftists take his words and find secret “dog whistles” that only they understand, that don’t have any merit in logic or refer to Trump’s actions.
So, before you tell people of European ancestry, or, people with a slightly higher percentage of European ancestry than you, how to think or behave, you DO need to show us exactly how President Trump wishes to divide us into groups and races.
But you will not be able to from his words or actions.
I have noticed more and more sites are no longer allowing comments or are blocking them for many articles. I don’t think they like most of the comments they have been getting posted. WINNING

Harley, I couldn’t read it through either but I made a comment. Your comment is valuable but yes, we do need to see how the Gullibles think. And the comments thereafter show the world how Free Republic uses intelligence, logic, and clarity instead of groupthink and emotion.
I have been saying this for a while now, in fact I believe at this point ONLY blacks can fix the failed black communities. They want to take no responsibility for their problems, and blame them on others. There is no way to help them if they are not willing to accept responsibility.
It is at the point now where it is like trying to help someone addicted to alcohol or drugs. If they are not willing to do what it takes, they cannot be helped either. Blacks in inner cities are addicted to being victims, until they are willing to give that up I have no idea what would help them.
I’m not proud of a race. But no one should be ashamed of their ancestors. We didn’t choose them. We are all pretty mixed if you go far enough back.
What I don’t like is one race chosen to be the “loser.” One race/culture who is picked out of the others to be less human in the eyes of the others is the worst thing humanity has to offer. My recent ancestors (like Dad) were chosen to be killed for their culture. They were systematically EXTERMINATED and that is the word used by their government. (Dad survived.)
I see the beginnings of this happening now when I signed up my child for public school. There was a long list of “races” to choose from for her. About 8 or 9. Every single “race” had a geographical location in its name. Very logical and fair, in the naming. Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, etc. Except for the last race, which was called “white.” The only “race” reduced to some approximation of a skin color. Who cares where those low lifes came from? How can anyone not see there is an institutional push to denigrate these people forced to check the last pathetic box? In a list like that, one would need a designation “European descent.”
To all of it, who cares?! Stop collecting this fake “race” info. It’s not important. For medical use, a simple gene test will tell doctors all they need to know about tendencies. We would be a better people if we forget the hell about race.

You're right. We can be there to help when they're ready to accept THEY have a problem... The people I'm most concerned with are innocent hard working inner city black citizens trapped in criminal hellholes - people not part of the dysfunction but without power to effect changes...
Probably a lot of white people make the assumption that a black person will be politically on the left. I do. I also make the assumption that anyone in this area, especially my fellow Jews (unless clearly orthodox), are going to be on the left. So I stay in my closet.
Anything we do, needs to be aimed at those that are hard working. I think they are left out of most things because they just keep going and they are not out running their mouth playing victim or rioting. If we can get jobs, possibly manufacturing or other things close to those communities we could improve their lives at least in better jobs available to them.

Gotta ask what a ‘race’ is. It’s a group of people from a region of the world that over the years have governed themselves and had an economy and moral standards. In my view skin color resulted from the climate they lived in.
The group a person was raised in influences how they think and behave.
We need people that will carry on American values.
To switch the subject, if I went to live in any foreign country I would expect to be treated as an outsider because that’s what I would be. The locals have a right to wonder why I’m there and how I will contribute to their country. I certainly wouldn’t expect preferential treatment.
What’s the matter with “white race”? Most kids don’t know that they’re of “European Descent”.
As far as forgetting about race, as I said earlier, a race is characterized mostly by its culture, behavior and moral standards. That’s what you should think when you think ‘race’.
Sure, a person’s past shouldn’t be held against them.
It's normally a safe assumption to make, but not always. Some of my left leaning customers sometimes assume I'm a Democrat because I'm black. Makes for some awkward situations.
