I’m not proud of a race. But no one should be ashamed of their ancestors. We didn’t choose them. We are all pretty mixed if you go far enough back.
What I don’t like is one race chosen to be the “loser.” One race/culture who is picked out of the others to be less human in the eyes of the others is the worst thing humanity has to offer. My recent ancestors (like Dad) were chosen to be killed for their culture. They were systematically EXTERMINATED and that is the word used by their government. (Dad survived.)
I see the beginnings of this happening now when I signed up my child for public school. There was a long list of “races” to choose from for her. About 8 or 9. Every single “race” had a geographical location in its name. Very logical and fair, in the naming. Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, etc. Except for the last race, which was called “white.” The only “race” reduced to some approximation of a skin color. Who cares where those low lifes came from? How can anyone not see there is an institutional push to denigrate these people forced to check the last pathetic box? In a list like that, one would need a designation “European descent.”
To all of it, who cares?! Stop collecting this fake “race” info. It’s not important. For medical use, a simple gene test will tell doctors all they need to know about tendencies. We would be a better people if we forget the hell about race.

Gotta ask what a ‘race’ is. It’s a group of people from a region of the world that over the years have governed themselves and had an economy and moral standards. In my view skin color resulted from the climate they lived in.
The group a person was raised in influences how they think and behave.
We need people that will carry on American values.
To switch the subject, if I went to live in any foreign country I would expect to be treated as an outsider because that’s what I would be. The locals have a right to wonder why I’m there and how I will contribute to their country. I certainly wouldn’t expect preferential treatment.
What’s the matter with “white race”? Most kids don’t know that they’re of “European Descent”.
As far as forgetting about race, as I said earlier, a race is characterized mostly by its culture, behavior and moral standards. That’s what you should think when you think ‘race’.
Sure, a person’s past shouldn’t be held against them.
