Certainly nothing wrong with training women to fight/defend themselves and their country, but use them for special ops is a bit too far, IMHO, They will be put in harms way more often,and may be pitted against men that have similar training.
Upon reading the whole article, I can see why they’re developing this unit...to deal with civilian women in Afghanistan and other Muslim places where men aren’t permitted to speak to women not their relatives.
It makes sense to me too, if you’re going to have women in combat—have them in the same sex-segregated unit, together too...to reduce fraternization issues.

My favorite female special forces belong to the Kildar, John Ringo, and are from the valley of the Keldara.

Why create an “elite” group chosen for members’ plumbing when they’re tasked with taking on another “elite” group chosen for members’ lethality? Is it really comforting to say “sad she was killed, but at least she was a ‘she’ - better that than fielding someone _better_ at killing the opposition”?
The article does not answer an important question. Once Western Europe falls under Sharia law, will this unit still be allowed to exist?
