This seems madness to me. Why train a group of people who will ALWAYS be 2nd best to an equivalently trained group of men?
the sound you hear in the background is a pinup calendar being planned.
Euroweenies wont fight. EF em...
Anything the left wing elite love for the military is a disaster on the battlefield. Obama’s horrible experiments nearly destroyed war fighting skills. I am still waiting on Trump to correct them. An all female “special forces” unit will be a R & R unit for the enemy when they are captured.
because liberals think war should one big tupperware party
But do they have a bikini team??
But will Honor Blackman lead them?!
This thread is useless without pictures...
“We’re carrying the same weight in the backpack as the boys,” said Tonje, who did not provide her full name due to the unit’s rules. “We do the same tasks.”
Don’t kid yourself, honey. If there’s any fighting, you won’t be doing the “same tasks” and you won’t be carrying the “same weight”.
Well, that's excellent! I can see that maintaining a common standard will work.
applicants have to run about four miles carrying 60 pounds of military gear in under 52 minutes. That's just three minutes less than their male counterparts who have to do the same thing in under 49 minutes.
A common standard in every respect except for the fact that it's different, that is...
Certainly nothing wrong with training women to fight/defend themselves and their country, but use them for special ops is a bit too far, IMHO, They will be put in harms way more often, and may be pitted against men that have similar training.
Upon reading the whole article, I can see why they’re developing this unit...to deal with civilian women in Afghanistan and other Muslim places where men aren’t permitted to speak to women not their relatives.
It makes sense to me too, if you’re going to have women in combat—have them in the same sex-segregated unit, together too...to reduce fraternization issues.
Frankly though, I think it is just plain immoral—not to mention irrational....to have women in combat at all. Period.
Good idea. Put all the women in one unit. Then never deploy it.
My favorite female special forces belong to the Kildar, John Ringo, and are from the valley of the Keldara.
Can’t they just take a team of male volunteers and “reassign” them as “women”? I mean, what are the criteria anymore?
You raise a good point. This is progressive Norway, afterall, so how long before this unit is opened to dudes who “identify” as women?>
Countdown before the first trans-woman demands to be allowed in. “Why wasn’t my application accepted? Why?”
