Why Donald Trump Should Pardon Hillary Clinton: It will drive her insane.
The Weekly Standard ^ | December 17, 2016 | Michael Graham

The latest Fox News poll shows 68 percent of Americans say President Obama should not pardon Hillary Clinton on his way out of the White House, and I agree. Donald Trump should do it.

One his very first day, with his very first pen, President Trump should sign his very first presidential proclamation: “We must put the politics of the past aside and unify our country. Therefore, for the many, many crimes and misdeeds she committed while Secretary of State, I hereby pardon Hillary Rodham Clinton." The left will never forgive him.

It's counterintuitive, I know. According to the poll, a paltry eight percent of Republicans want Hillary pardoned—but they're just short-sighted. I would ask the 87 percent who oppose putting Hillary in the same company as Marc "Most Wanted" Rich and Richard Nixon: Who are the only people who need a pardon?

Answer: Guilty people....

So 68 percent think she committed a crime and yet 50 percent voted for her.

Makes sense.

Hillary could refuse a presidential pardon.

I have considered that yes, Trump should perhaps pardon Mrs Bill after charges are preferred but then the Trumpian DoJ should mercilessly prosecute all those around her. In court she will become the frail old lady with Parkinson’s Disease that she is in real life and the public sympathy will soon be with her. Better to keep her on the outside of it secure from prosecution but thereby no longer covered by the 5th Amendment. She doesn’t even have to be formally called to testify, just gently threatened with it to perpetuate the picture of magnanimity of the Donald.

If 68% say she shouldn’t be pardoned, I think it’s safe to say that 68% didn’t vote for her....

Talk about insane. As if leaving state department personnel on assignment to be killed in-country then covering it up not to mention using a position as Secretary of State to privatize deals with foreign, including enemy, states for personal profit and official but corrupt leverage is politics

William F is surely rolling in his grave this day as never before that this publication has sunk so low. This piece is not fit for ‘people’ magazine

I disagree. She knowingly and willfully broke the law, and it is time to send a message to all politicians, that their crookedness will not be tolerated.

No. Ford pardoned Nixon who was never charged with any crime.

Nixon was not convicted of anything or even formally charged (impeached) but the Ford pardon kept him from prosecution.

From article:

“First, he’ll be putting an end to an investigation that, thanks to BleachBit and the Clinton code of omertà, is almost certain to go nowhere.”

Among other offenses, I would think BleachBit is almost certain to show obstruction.

That is like saying let the murderer live in a house with the pictures of his victims on the walls - it is on the assumption he’ll suffer horrible guilt, instead of seeing the relative freedom as a reward and images as status symbols.

She MUST be punished for all these illegal acts or it leaves in place the immoral legal double standard for Democrats. To say people at a high level are exempt from the laws, when other people went to jail for far lesser IT security violations or bribery, is a violation of the concept of rule of law, fairness and morality.

My humble opinion.
Don’t pardon her. Let the IRS freeze CGI assets.
Put Podesta, Abedin and the rest in jail.
Also since the secret service works for Trump and she is a protectee,
it’s easy to turn to turn her into a detainee.

I have a dream:

Put her on trial. Let all the evidence by heard, in public.

If convicted, lock her up.

Same with Bill.

Same with John Podesta, and all of their entourage.

Same with Lynch, Holder, and Comey.

Same with Jarret.

Publicize ALL of the donors to their “foundation”, and what they got in return. Where laws were broken, put them on trial too.

For the coup de grace, after all the lower level is in jail,
same with Obama.

I know... just a dream...

Sigh...

AskJeff Sessions to just let the AG office run their regular chores of looking for criminal activity, don;t make it a political story, keep the PRESS CORPS away and get to the bottom of it all.
