Sen. Kelly Ayotte (N.H.) is pressing fellow Republican Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) to reveal his strategy for success as he risks a government shutdown in an attempt to end federal funding of Planned Parenthood.
In a letter to Cruz on Thursday, Ayotte demanded to know why the firebrand Texas senator and presidential candidate is so strongly pushing legislation that the party can't pass.
It is abundantly clear that we lack the votes in the Senate to redirect these funds, Ayotte, one of four female Republicans in the Senate, wrote in the letter.
She goes out of her way to distance herself from a government shutdown particularly when it appears there is no chance of achieving a successful result.
Two years after Cruz took a stand on ObamaCare that resulted in a government shutdown but no policy changes, Ayotte said she is asking him to reveal his hand about what he hopes to achieve.
[I] would appreciate you sharing your strategy for success with all of us before any damaging government shutdown becomes imminent, she wrote in the letter, which was first obtained by the New Hampshire news station WMUR.

Good little GOPe mob soldier, Ayotte, is once again doing McCain’s dirty work.
It makes me crazy, all the “why are you shutting down the government” questions to Cruz or Republicans.
If Republicans had guaranteed a veto/shutdown rather than compromise every time the Dems had an issue they didn’t agree with, it would have still been Republicans.
Anyone see a problem with this?

TED CRUZ - OBEYING THE CALL - 2016
Psalm 82:2
How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked?
The bills in question
FULLY FUND THE GOVERNMENT.
It’s the democrats and Obama that put baby killing on such a high priority that they’ll shut down the government over it.
Ayotte demonstrates, once again, that the GOPe does not have the capability of strategically putting Obama and the democrats ON RECORD that they support the sale of babys body parts. The only way to force the media to really cover this issue is to make Obama veto the budget over Planned Parenthood being able to continue to receive federal dollars and continue this barbaric practice.
Sorry, they understand completely. The GOPe don’t want to be on the record either. Ayotte is up for election and running as fast as she can from her previous strong opposition to PP.
Ayotte to Cruz: Whats your shutdown endgame? Wonder if she would have asked the same question about shutting down Hitler or Mengele?
Yes, exactly that. I don’t care if this government shuts down. We can’t support PP any more.

Texas to Ayotte: You are the perfect example why great generals and tacticians are not female.
The real fight will take place in two places: the house, and in the conference committee.
If John Boehner refuses to permit a cutoff of funding for PP, they will most likely move to “vacate the chair” sooner rather than later.
Importantly, this can get tricky, as the last Speaker to be under pressure, just to have his power diminished, Joseph Gurney Cannon, who had to be forced to take the gavel and preside; then after losing a vote and some power, he then held a face saving vote for *himself* to vacate the chair, which he won. See “revolt”:

In any event, if Boehner loses, the RINOs will go to the mattresses to put one of Boehner’s liberal cronies in his place. So unless the conservatives have strong candidates ready to go, it will just result in more of the same.
But, if the conservatives win, the new speaker could be very clear to the senate that there will be no funding for PP, and that it is non-negotiable. So, like it or not, and they won’t, the budget will likely have to leave the conference committee without funding, knowing that Obama will veto it.
If the senate refuses to budget, the end result is the same, that there is no budget or orderly process, and the unimportant (read “a lot”) of the government is shut down.
Undoubtedly, Obama will be petulant and childish again, maybe even illegally diverting funds to “keep the oppression alive”, but it will still be the opening salvo to a conservative revolution against both the Democrats and the RINOs.
American voter to Sen. Kelly Ayotte, shut up, quit being an attention w#ore.
I'm in NH, and I will not vote for Ayotte. She is a lapdog for McCain and Graham, exemplifying what is wrong with the GOP.
