Wife is out for afternoon. Should I go see "Lincoln?"
Posted on 11/18/2012 9:04:29 AM PST by E. Pluribus Unum
I hate to give Steven Spielberg any money, and I hate the fact that Spielberg spouts the lie that the Republican party of Lincoln's day is now the Democrat party.
I am sure that it is another Lefty propaganda piece.
But it looks like a well-made movie.
Should I stay or should I go?

If you have to ASK, you already know the answer and you are seeking permission to go against your better angels. You won’t get it from me.

Wait for it on bittorrent, they usually upload in 720p and 1080p..

When will we conservative bite the damn bullet and give up on shoveling our dwindling dollars into the pockewts of those who will turn around and give to those who are destroying our way of life.
Read a good book on Lincoln, take a walk, do anything, but DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! No matter how good their movie is, it is not worth suffering the end result.
How can we truly shut them down if we continue to watch their movies, send our children to their schools, or buy the products made by leftists companies that support the left?
Hasn't this last election convinced any one that it is time to fight, instead of finally putting your foot down and telling them enough is enough???????

I’m looking at the scars on my right arm from making that movie theater popcorn a couple decades ago.

I haven't been to a first run movie in ages. Costs too much for the film and the refreshments. Most movies made nowadays are trash. And then you have the jerks sitting around you talking non-stop and spilling popcorn and beverages on you. No thanks.
If you have cable or satellite, watch Turner Classic Movies, Retro or some other old movie channel. Or better yet, if the weather is good where you live, go outside. Take a walk, rake leaves, sit in the sun. You'll feel a lot better than wasting your time and money in a dark theater watching garbage.

Ah. The good old coconut oil days before the ‘RAT Nannies decided that coconut oil was “bad” for us. I miss those days.

Costs too much for the film and the refreshments. Why would you buy overpriced "refreshments?"
A movie is only a couple of hours long. Do you require hourly feedings?

The mouthless freak LOL! You know who gave him that? Vincent Gallo. Ebert totally trashed Gallos movie "The Brown bunny" and Gallo said he wished mouth cancer on Ebert, and incredibly a few months later he got it.

NO. Don’t give a dime to those a******s in Hollywood. Go buy a book from someone who isn’t a lefty, or better yet, start writing your own book.

No. Buy her some flowers and take her out to dinner to thank her in a small way for all she does.

If you’re asking, I’d say no. But I’d never tell anyone what to do. I just hate any money going to Obama supporters. I do have Netflix and ill watch a rented copy.

Read books.
**********
As Yogi Berra might have said, movies rely too much on visual information. LOL. But you’re right, books are generally a superior medium for imparting information and reading is a better use of your personal time.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
Bill O’Reiley who wrote “Killing Lincoln” said the movie was done very well.

I get dehydrated easily. Last time I was at a theater, bottled water was $6. Some of our theaters will search you. They don’t allow you to bring in your own refreshments.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
no, wait for DVD so you can fast forward thru it. Stay home and watch some football with a brewski and some chips and dip.
