R.I.P. Christopher Hitchens
December 15, 2011 11:51 P.M. By Daniel Foster Vanity Fair reports that Christopher Hitchens has passed away. Often frustrating, usually provocative, always brilliant. He added to the culture, and the conversation.
Im sure I join many in hoping he is in for a glorious, glorious surprise.

Had he ever come across the writings of a dude by the name of Blaise Pascal, of wager fame?
Epitaph of an atheist: “Here lies an atheist. All dressed up and no place to go.”
Jud 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
Jud 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
I hope he left us some new things to read. My suspicion is that he set a few time bombs to detonate after his passing!
Where are heaven and hell located??
That is wonderful and I'm so glad to hear it.
Thanks for sharing that.
Dear Satan Doll: FO. Chris.
I pray he did have a deathbed conversion, but I doubt he did.
He is responsible for helping my brother to be convinced that Christ was nothing but a scam artist, and that God does not exist.
As for the Vikings, I again pray for them also. I pray they do lose the rest of their games. Better draft choice, and maybe we can finally get some good defensive help, and maybe at least one good Offensive lineman.
Damn! Who is going to take over his excellent work of making fun of Islamists?
I’m sad too. His early demise has been known for a long time, so I held out hope that he would ultimately repent. I see no evidence of it — But we don’t know his final thoughts! The Lord is gracious!!!
I hated much of he stood for, and disagreed with much of what he believed in (although he was a strict anti-totalitarian), but I had to respect his consistency. He was no hypocrite. That alone makes him a better man (God forbid) than the field of candidates we have to vote for this time around.
“Saying that “atheists at least adhere to reason” is about as true as saying that “blondes at least are beautiful.” “
Well, wait I mean is, ever try to debate the existence of God or talk about Jesus to someone who has refused to take a position either way? This is called “volitional ignorance”.
Atheists are at least willing to debate. They are interested in the question of spiritual things. Then all you have to do is show them that the atheist case is extremely weak.

I had the privilege of listening to him give a speech in College sometime around the 08 election. Did I agree with everything he said, no. Still, it was one of the best speakers they had and I respected him for standing up of his beliefs.
During the Q&A session he destroyed some of the liberals arguments, particularly on 9/11, terrorism and Iraq.
Atheists deny the existence of God, so God denies ever knowing those who deny Him, and they are not welcome in to the Kingdom.
I am sorry about your brother. Is he still living? If so there is still time. I will add him to my prayer list if that is OK.
bttt
Is that really a serious question, or just a level?
RIP.....
By your own choice, and your own actions, you have already shown God that you find His presence intolerable.
Ergo, you go where there is no God.
That's free will. You get to choose; and you get to experience the consequences of your choice.
Pretty simple, actually.
Sad to say, but to some Christians, the existence of Hell is necessary mainly to give them comfort at the eventual eternal torment of their enemies.
