Based upon what I’ve seen in Cain thus far, I’d have to say he more than likely identifies himself as an American American, not an African American. Just saying.

In Sept 2007 the leading GOP candidates in every national poll were Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani.

In 2003 the leading Democrat candidates were Howard Dean and Weasly Clark.

Making judgments about "who can win" elections based wholly on polling data this far from an election has been historically proven to be a really bad idea.
