So yeah, I'm getting sick and tired of how people are bashing Sarah Palin over her endorsement of McCain.
We all know why she's doing it and she has my complete respect and support.
So, anyway, conservatives are fighting amongst each other over this and it really is pathetic! On Sarah's Facebook page, people keep lamenting, whining and moaning over it, and I kept calmly trying to calm them down, but they wouldn't listen. Finally, I lost it and said:
"FOR GOD'S SAKE, PEOPLE, PULL YOURSELVES TOGETHER!!!!! THIS IS NOT HOW A GROUP OF PATRIOTS ACTS!!!!!!!!
SERIOUSLY, DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO BE 100% PERFECT IN YOUR EYES IN ORDER FOR THEM TO BE A VIABLE CANDIDATE???? LAST TIME I CHECKED, NO ONE IS!
SARAH PALIN IS THE BEST CHANCE WE HAVE TO UNSEAT OBAMA AND HIS FASCIST REGIME AND YOU'RE ALL HERE TOO BUSY ARGUING ABOUT ONE ENDORSEMENT!!!!!!!! THAT IS PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!
WE HAVE TO BE 100% UNITED IN ORDER TO DEFEAT THE SOCIALISTS!!!!!!! STOP GETTING INTO STUPID PETTY FIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SARAH ENDORSED MCCAIN! OK, DONE, NEXT ISSUE, PLEASE!!!!!!!"
I'm no military guy, but I do know that in a battle, you need to have a UNITED FRONT and petty arguments like this are dividing the front!
It is obvious that Sarah Palin is the only one who can defeat Obama and that we need to be united around her!
You just highlighted politicians she's never been connected to the hip with. Your loyalty to Palin is quite admirable, but John McCain hurts her more than she hurts him. McCain is using her to get you and others to support him. She's not running for Senator from Arizona, he is.
There were a good number of RINO's in that 212. (You asked for a distinction--here's one).
Not nearly as many RINO's on the House side as there are on the Senate side. The GOP was united against ObamaCare because over 70% of Americans were.
She needs to get away from McCain - NOW. This is far too serious. MCCain is Obama. McCain Feingold gave Obama and the Dems power.
McCain does far more damage to her future than she does to his. He's an opportunist.
She understands this country's very future will depend on the expansion of oil and natural gas exploration and production.
McCain is all about "green jobs" which is Communist code language for "Working for the State". He was on that "green jobs" bandwagon in the summer of 2008. It was a popular issue because the focus of the campaign was on energy because gasoline was hovering around $4 a gallon in many places.
It's a relationship that just didn't work out. She needs to divorce herself from his campaign if she's ever gonna have a future of her own. She has years ahead of her. McCain has been in Washington too damn long. He needs to be sent off to a nice retirement and live out the rest of his years in Sedona.
She was once.
Shes got the ability to bring America out of the darkness and stop the evil of the Obama regime!
If you are changing the hearts an minds of your neighbors, city council, state legislators and Congresscritters, you too are using your ability like she is.
She can't do that job on her own.
I agree...it gives me no pleasure to be unhappy about this.
You hit the nail on the head that their relationship is more he takes/she gives....paraphrased
he needs to retire...i do see how it’s touchy..she dumps him and she will have to deal with the stand that implies
very odd circumstance you know
I look at the trend and his rating only goes up when he's running for re-election as Senator or running for President. Then you dig deeper into the data and it's a mixed bag of peaks and valleys based on the issues ranging from immigration, national security, government mandated health care and taxation.
McCain needs to go period. Palin is not relavent in this primary. Just get out the defeat McCain vote.
She's damaged goods if she keeps palling around with pols like McCain. She does more damage to her own credibility and political future than she does McCain's. McCain is USING her to get re-elected.
She has years ahead of her, McCain's are all in the past.
If McCain wins, he'll have no use for Palin.
Palin will just go back to contributing to FOX News for the O'Reilly Factor. LOL
Preserving and strengthening the party is Michael Steele's job, and he should be fired for his lack of leadership.
She has a great future in the Conservative movement and the Republican party. It’s not with McCain. His best days are behind him.
Why not? He brings nothing of value to the Conservative movement. Given a chance, he'll stab the movement in the back if he thought it would win him a dinner date with Wolf Blitzer.
Sarah Palin cant afford it either.
She can't afford endorsing media whoring, attention thriving, opportunistic RINO's like McQueeg.
I do understand how politics work. This is another reason many of us contend there is no difference between D's and R's.
McCain is a has-been-never-was, a quisling, a “get-along-so-the-media-will-love-me” toady. Palin sold her credibility in campaigning for him as “the maverick.” She better have a good third act.
Nice posts you’ve been making in the early hours B-S-F, I submit to you a theory that is only a theory but it seems to me that the only person who wins or benefits from Sarah Palin endorsing and supporting John McCain is John McCain, and that he first approached her in 2008 to join him on the GOP ticket because he knew conservatives were about to abandon him en masse, and sure enough: he threw us a bone and most of us held our nose and pulled the lever, and he had to be laughing about that, McCain once again did to conservatives what Roman Polanski did to his victim, and McCain did it without any lube.
Now McCain has compelled Sarah Palin to save his maverick-azz in this primary challenge from J.D. Hayworth and McCain has GOT to be laughing himself silly at how he has once again pissed off conservatives because even he knows that Sarah is conservative, and he is NOT.
And here is the kicker: McCain’s end game is to end Sarah Palin’s potential for any future political run, and she opened her mouth last night on FOX and helped him all but accomplish that. Many viewers said she looked ‘uncomfortable’ and after viewing the re-broadcast, I have to agree. She may not be a female Messiah like Jesus was, and I’m not about to call her a Judas, but in this instance I would say that she unwittingly opened her car door and said “c’mon Judas, you need a ride to the Last Supper? No, it’s not out of my way, hop in, you betcha!”
I actually feel very badly for her. The conservative inside of her has to be shaking her head this morning wondering WTF happened to put her in this position.
“And here is the kicker: McCains end game is to end Sarah Palins potential for any future political run, and she opened her mouth last night on FOX and helped him all but accomplish that. “
She was willing
I don't know about the Washington part, but you are correct about the politician part. And the "one of us" standard simply is another way to describe the act of wishful thinking.
Yup, which is why there is no hope with either the GOP or the Rats, two sides of the same coin. Is it time for a third party yet?
The only thing a third party is useful for is showing your disgust with the republican candidate. To win, a third party candidate would have to draw large numbers of votes from both sides. Short of someone who walks on water descending in a time of major national crisis, that will never happen.
