No Giuliani, No McCain
Petition Online ^ | Dec. 14, 2006 | Andrew Longman

Posted on 12/15/2006 7:22:32 PM PST by FarRockaway

To: The Republican Party

I am a Christian conservative or social conservative. I am Pro-Life. I vote.

Rudy Giuliani is pro-gay, pro-gun control, and pro-abortion.

For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States under any circumstances.

Senator John McCain has waffled on human cloning, has supported experimentation on human embryos, and has attacked prominent Christian clergy because of the, "evil influence that they exercise." John McCain has said of Pro-Life voters, on a public broadcast radio show, that they are, "otherwise intelligent people who say that that's the only issue that will determine their vote." McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle, "I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade."

For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for John McCain for President of the United States under any circumstances.

Sincerely,

[The CFR issue is crap anyway. There was 1 billion bucks raised for the 2006 elections and tv ads were playing right up to the evening of November 6th. There was NO shortage of money or issue ads in the first election covered by CFR.]

Perhaps you didn't notice that the Federal Election Commission just a few days ago started handing out fines and punishments to the groups of private citizens who dared to run ads critical of politicians before the election of 2004. They are prosecuting these groups based on "The Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2003" (CFR). You probably won't cry knowing that "MoveOn" was in violation of the law but it should chill you that the same law cost "SwiftBoatVetsForTruth" a few hundred thousand dollars. The FEC is now in the business of acting as agents of congress to prosecute groups for committing the crime of using actual money *GASP* to run ads critical of politicians.

Rick Santorum did a photo-op do-nothing at Terri Schiavo's murder. I saw him wandering around the bright lights there, a deer in the headlights.

Rick Santorum is no WSC.

WSC won the Nobel Prize for literature.

Please.

"I expect he will fix it."

Yes, that would explain his many follow on comments directed at Governor Bush and Miami, or his claim that his speaking engagement was canceled because of threats when in reality it was canceled because his presence would have been disruptive to regular guests.

"Should have whined about El Paso instead."

Or Denver. There are parts of Denver that make Miami look all white bread Prebrytarian.

Before I shut up, I have to ask...What if a woman got the GOP presidential nomination and promised to roll back women's suffrage if elected.

Quite the conflicting conundrum for you, eh?

I posted that in all honesty and I stand by it, save for the exception of Harry Reid, but I met him once when I lived in Las Vegas and he helped me and was nice to me. I have since come to despise him.

We've had Mormon neighbors and I went to school with a lot of Mormons and several are life long friends.

I just hope that the powers that be, finally get it together and do a repeat of what they did in 2000, but NOW, instead of just before the '08 election.

My paternal grandmother was Mormon and Lakota Sioux. Does that explain the pointed tail and strong desire to scalp Southern Baptists?

Night folks...way past bedtime.

I chose a long time ago, years ago, right here on FR, and put my sentiments in the profile.

I can -- JUST barely -- stand for holding my nose and voting Giuliani, although we must note that EVERY president from the state of New York has been, one way or another, a disaster for Constitutional government.

McLame? I'd write in Vladimir Ilych Ulyanov before voting for that incompetent, double-dealing, lying SOB.

Mutt Romney? A liar and a hypocrite down to his toenails. Pro-abort, pro-radical homosexual agenda, and a gungrabber of the FIRST order (check the history of the most recent gungrabbing bill in the MA leg!).

Hitlery can't be elected in any case. So, we're likely to get some other quasi-Marxist 'Rat, because -- as ever -- the 'Pubbies are the stupid party. They're allowing the LBM to name the 'possible' 'Pubbie candidates.

"So either I agree with you generalization that every Muslim on earth is a terrorist at heart, or I'm a blathering idiot incapable of functioning."

Right on both counts, you can't lose!

"Oh that is rational thought. I wonder how far you carry your intolerance."

Well, I'm pretty darn intolerant of idiots.

If your next door neighbor asked you to marry him, and you discovered he had a coffee table book entitled "The Cult of How To Brainwash, Enslave, and Behead Bonnie J" - what would you do?

a) marry him
b) vote for him for president
c) run for your life and call the police

You have thirty minutes, this is multiple choice and not an essay. I will offer a silent prayer your head doesn't explode.

[...the polls they're showing on CNBC and Fox News show McCain would beat both Clinton and Obama.]

Are you actually suggesting that this opinion poll means anything? Two f****** years before the election???

Obviously, you missed this one. JR won't be voting for Johnny Mac.

How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.

The originator of this thread sent me mail with a list of some unusual beliefs held by Mormons over the years. Every religion on earth has beliefs, rituals, etc that are a bit strange to all others who are not involved.

The level of intolerance of some here tonight is more intense than usual, along with an often vicious approach to anyone who doesn't agree with them in condemning all Mormons, all Muslims etc.
