No Giuliani, No McCain
Petition Online ^ | Dec. 14, 2006 | Andrew Longman

Posted on 12/15/2006 7:22:32 PM PST by FarRockaway

To: The Republican Party

I am a Christian conservative or social conservative. I am Pro-Life. I vote.

Rudy Giuliani is pro-gay, pro-gun control, and pro-abortion.

For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States under any circumstances.

Senator John McCain has waffled on human cloning, has supported experimentation on human embryos, and has attacked prominent Christian clergy because of the, "evil influence that they exercise." John McCain has said of Pro-Life voters, on a public broadcast radio show, that they are, "otherwise intelligent people who say that that's the only issue that will determine their vote." McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle, "I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade."

For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for John McCain for President of the United States under any circumstances.

Sincerely,

Gee, did it ever occur to you go-down-in-flames Wahhabi conservativistas that voting for the lesser of two evils may sometimes be the only real choice?

I am an atheist, and if you are one of those Rosie O'Donnell Republicans who think the religious conservatives are the problem, I will vote with my feet and go for the American Independent candidate...

I am the NRA, and I do vote...

"Someone said that we have primaries for this and that is the unvarnished truth."

The problem with Rudy making it to the primaries is that every RAT in the nation will crossover and vote for him.

In the general election they will pull the RAT handle next to Hildabeast and Christians and gun owners wont vote for Rudy.

If the pro-Life individual would bother to show up at their polling place and vote once in a while, maybe there would be more pro-Life candidates. But, as long as millions of "value voters" stay home on election day, as it appears they did in our most recent election, leaving the un-born (and many of the pro-Life candidates) twisting in the wind), how can you expect the pro-Life voter to be taken seriously enough to merit representation by any sane candidate? I'm pro-Life; I vote pro-Life...and ..I'm ashamed of the social conservatives who don't even have the moral courage to register to vote, let alone actually go out and do it. Shame on them all. And don't even get me going on how many Americans let our troops down by not voting in this election. Again, shame on them all.

Thank you for speaking on behalf of the South from your perch in Idaho.

No problem, I am available for weddings and bar mitzvahs--or in the current demographics in the West, the more lively quincineras (yes, I spelled it wrong, I'm aware of this)

I live in the deep South and resent your nasty and fallacious remarks.

Well, if it makes you feel better I resent responding to nasty and fallacious stereotypes, but here we are.

Many social conservatives and evangelicals will not vote for a liberal like Rino Rudy. He will lead to a rat win.

That's not bashing anything other than Romney.
It demonstrates his hypocracy. Mormonism staunchly
believes in pro-life principles. Romney claims
to be both Mormon and pro-abort. So a pro-abort
Mormon is a contradiction in terms, a hypocrite, a joke.
Orthodox Mormons agree with this position and consider
Romeny a travesty.

Do the polls matter. No. If only 5% of base of the party bolt, which I think they will, Rino Rudy loses

Baloney. Rudy could lose 10% of the "base" and still beat Hillary. Will he get out of the primaries? Probably not BUT Hillary will be lucky to get the nod herself. 2008 is going to be either the realization that the GOP cannot just rely on "base" turnout to win or it will be doomed to go back to another 30 years in the wilderness. Personally I don't believe the eventual GOP nominee is even on the radar yet.

You're becoming a BROKEN RECORD.

Let me talk for "others" --- Rudy will get a lot of democrat votes to counter yours and your "untold others."

He won the mayorship in solid democrat NYC.

He isn't even the nomineee and the first ptimary has not be held.

I am beginning to wonder about your age.

Take your pick, guns, abortion, higher spending, more illegals, what ever, if a Rat wins, all those issues will move into the never going to get better group. No matter how much our guy is a Rino, Hillorat and her cute little rat followers will make things worse.

FGS, they "bolt" every single election; the GOP doesn't even factor them in anymore.

At this point I will hold my precious nose, say a prayer and vote for ABHitlery and ABObamama and AB anyone the party of evil nominate.

No, McCain and Giuliani are not ideal but my faves don't stand a chance...at this point anyway.

I am an atheist,

That's the 3rd or 4th time you have mentioned that. Is it like having a PhD or something with you?

"...don't even get me going on how many Americans let our troops down by not voting in this election."

You hit the nail on the head. Our troops willingly put their lives on the line for us every day and they've asked for very little in return. When it came our turn to do something for them a lot of people wouldn't bother or couldn't rise above themselves for once.

We don't deserve our troops and they sure don't deserve what we did to them in November. From the looks of it a lot of folks intend to do the same thing to them again in two years.

That said, I'm out of here before I tell them what I really think of them. Good evening.
