No Giuliani, No McCain
Petition Online ^ | Dec. 14, 2006 | Andrew Longman

Posted on 12/15/2006 7:22:32 PM PST by FarRockaway

To: The Republican Party

I am a Christian conservative or social conservative. I am Pro-Life. I vote.

Rudy Giuliani is pro-gay, pro-gun control, and pro-abortion.

For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States under any circumstances.

Senator John McCain has waffled on human cloning, has supported experimentation on human embryos, and has attacked prominent Christian clergy because of the, "evil influence that they exercise." John McCain has said of Pro-Life voters, on a public broadcast radio show, that they are, "otherwise intelligent people who say that that's the only issue that will determine their vote." McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle, "I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade."

For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for John McCain for President of the United States under any circumstances.

Sincerely,

Please excuse the "asshat" comment. That was uncalled for and was not really part of my intended response to you.

A question I want answered is how any of these folks running have any record of success in military affairs? If the war is the primier issue, I want somebody with a track record of victories...

Finally, someone with a sensible retort.. and you are right on the money.. but I would take this one step further.. we need someone with a good military success track record and and understanding of current military technology and tactic.. we don't need the Powell doctrine in the modern world..

If its Rudy vs. Hillary I vote Hillary.

I dislike Rudy as much as anyone on this forum does but that statement is one of the dumbest I've ever read here.

Romney: In 2005, he wrote in an op-ed in The Boston Globe that he wanted to see Roe v. Wade overturned and said states should decide on their own whether to permit abortion. “I believe that abortion is the wrong choice, except in cases of incest, rape, and to save the life of the mother,” he wrote. “I wish the people of America agreed, and that the laws of our nation could reflect that view.”

Please look in to the record of this great man and keep an open mind. He will announce his candicacy on January 8th and will be grilled on his PRO-LIFE position. Do some reseach on Romney and do not dismiss him out of hand. BTW, I am just a concerned citizen like you. I do not work for the Romney campaign.

Over 200 posts. Instead of those 200+ posts they could have signed your petition over 200 times. What a waste. Pity!

Wow, you're honest but very misguided. Out of curiosity, would you vote for someone like howard dean over someone like the iron lady?

Yeah, I know. I'm a sh*tbag. Not "with the times", though no one seems to care of the consequences of being with "the times". No I will never vote for a woman. In such a case I'd just stay home. But let us hope that we never find ourselves in such a predicament.

Am I a "sexist" or a "chauvinist"? I don't know. Those are just crafty words to me, much like "racist" or "bigot" and they're often used in the same way to shame sensible people into accepting idiotic ideas. Women aren't meant for such a position. The day one does take the position is the day that we can all be sure that men have sunk to such a despicable level as to face certain doom without a remarkable woman's intervention. History seems to suggest that my idea is correct. You're idea is more a product of recent political correctness than anything else. Again, call me a bastard or an idiot, I don't care - those are mere words used today to shame sensible people into accepting idiotic ideas. A woman President is an idiotic idea.

I know my view isn't popular but it's what I believe. I also believe it's Biblical. So be it. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. My wife and I aren't "equals". That's sick, right? Then again we've never been divorced. She's never attended a bra burning ceremony. Our kids aren't covered in tattoos, piercings, homosexual relationships, "unexpected pregnancies", or drug addictions.

I'm not Mister Right but I know how to stick with what works. What many call female oppression I call "what works and has always worked for the better of everyone."

I guarantee you if he is nominated many social conservatives and Evangelicals will either stay home or go third party. Rino Rudy's nomination will assure a rat win in 2008.

Good evening.
"Newt can't win either. No way."

Why not? Give us a reason that doesn't include the same thing that Giuliani has done and tell us where he stands on issues that makes you prefer the others.

What makes McCain more viable as a candidate?

Someone said that we have primaries for this and that is the unvarnished truth. Everything else we are saying is opinion and nothing more.

It's one thing for Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell to speak for their respective flocks, but when anonymous posters include "untold numbers of others" it is laughably silly and oh so presumptuous.

Gee, did it ever occur to you go-down-in-flames Wahhabi conservativistas that voting for the lesser of two evils may sometimes be the only real choice?

I don't like Guiliani's stance on gays and guns nor McCain's cockeyed foreign policy views, but neither of those two will sell us down the river. Hope not, anyway.

Re: Jeb- No military experience, and no matter what your thoughts are on President Bush, right now, the marketing trend is against him.. people go with feelings and that has been twisted against the Bush family for the past 6 years, even on our side..

Frankly, I think Jeb would be a hell of a president, just not the best choice..
