I like the studio version of DIMYP too, but the background singers and band are so loud in some parts it's hard to hear Taylor's voice.

While America seemed ecstatic over the winner, the AI powers that be seemed less than thrilled. Don't understand it.The AI powers are sometimes very hard to understand.

That's what I was just getting ready to say. It can't be the most pleasurable experience if so many of them want to break the AI/19E ties. Kelly & Clay were able to get out but it cost them. I know Ruben called it "a crash course in the music business." Maybe Carrie didn't even want to be there but her contract may have demanded it. Who knows? But it's interesting they seem to want to get away as soon as they can.

True. I think that was one reason Ruben just faded away. I believe he became jaded to all of it. Plus he had family members that started to drain him dry. Sometimes I think these kids want the fame and fortune until they get it and have to put up with all the tentacles of the production people and managers. Look at Elvis. I think he became extremely unhappy because it wasn't just singing for the joy of singing. That's what I'm afraid they go through with AI.

LMAO!!! You mean, he's not the next Clay Aaaai-ken, y'all??No his feet are too little. Clay's feet require Krusty the Clown length shoes.

Where ... *swallowing my own bile here* ... where did you find that pic! Wait, I don't wanna know! ACK! ROTFLMAO!!
I just did a search for Contantine on google images and it came up on the first or second page.
Why is it that the first guys to take off their shirts are always the last guys anyone would want to see shirtless?? Us Greeks come in two varieties, olive skinned, tans very well or paper white, burst into flames in the sun. Constantine and I are the latter.

Justin Gurini has Sideshow Bob hair. Clay has Krusty sized feet. We get ourselves a Homer and we've got a show.

Just goes to show it's impossible to give everyone what they want. Exactly. They have to do what they are best at and try to do what they think their fans want, but that's about all they can really do. The fans will migrate to what they like.

Re Carrie's less-than-happy looks -- I noticed that as well, but it seemed to me that she looked mostly thoughtful rather than angry. I assumed she was having some sort of "That was me up there winning it last year" moment. Not surprising -- I think anyone would have that feeling, if only for a moment or two.

Here in NY they did not cut away at 10pm they were on for about another half hour so we got to see the confetti drop and all the excitement. Too bad the rest of the country didn't get to enjoy more of Taylor's celebration.

I liked this one....
18. On the record 63.4 million votes, Ryan says, "Thats more than any president in the history of our country has ever received!" Yes, jackass, because teens are not permitted to vote 10,000 times each in national politics.

AI powers that be seemed less than thrilled. Don't understand it.I do. Where the heck do they position Taylor? He doesn't fit into a ready-made MAJOR concert category beyond the AI tour. And probably regional tours. How would he do on a worldwide tour? I don't think he's maleable. Nor marketable long-term. I don't think his stressed-out whiskey voice will last. I know it won't improve.
After the competitiveness and emotional excess of the voting situation, I think Taylor will cool quickly leaving a less-than major fan base. Maybe I'm wrong. But after all the hooplah the AI producers want a major star.
Carrie sure did them proud last night. Her voice and performance have improved greatly since AI and she fits into a very popular niche. She was managed in one short year into a major talent. She has the gorgeous bone structure that will keep her beautiful for decades. She's become an incredibly valuable "property." What's not to love from a business perspective? From an AI reputation standpoint?

Just got back from the grocery store where I spent over an hour shopping to the voice of Taylor over the loud speakers. It was a good thing he was a calming influence as I spent over $200. LOL!!!

Thanks for the link--is there a way to save the photos on the "slideshow"?

Also I wonder what they have to put up with behind the scenes that makes all the AI finalists want to cut off from there contracts as soon as possible. Might explain some nasty looks. Maybe one of the celebs pulled something back stage?
When Carrie was interviewed before the show, Warwick and Lythgow showed up. They congratulated her on her awards last night and she laughed and said she thought AI had a tiny little bit to do with it and they said no, they gave her a springboard but the success in her career was due to her.
It was really a nice moment and all seemed happy and gracious.
