Also I wonder what they have to put up with behind the scenes that makes all the AI finalists want to cut off from there contracts as soon as possible. Might explain some nasty looks.

When Carrie was interviewed before the show, Warwick and Lythgow showed up. They congratulated her on her awards last night and she laughed and said she thought AI had a tiny little bit to do with it and they said no, they gave her a springboard but the success in her career was due to her.

It was really a nice moment and all seemed happy and gracious.

Yeah, could be. Or like someone said earlier, maybe Carrie was just nostalgic for when she was the one. Each season does seem to get more and more talented though. Makes you look forward to the next. :)
