WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of gay and lesbian parents hoping to take their families to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll plan to start lining up Friday evening to make sure they get tickets for the Monday event.
Thousands of tickets an estimated 16,000 last year are given away on a first-come-first-come basis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
National Park Service officials said Wednesday that children of all ages may attend as long as there is at least one child 7 years old or younger, and no more than two adults per group.
First lady Laura Bush's office issued a statement saying all families are welcome to attend.

Their attacks were false...........as are those who are attacking the Bush's on this thread for their very Christian behavior toward others.
As for my denomination..........I believe in the literal interpretation of Scripture, and in its inerrancy. That teaches me that all of our righteousness is as filthy rags, and that we have all fallen short of God's glory. Some sins have greater earthly consequences, but ALL of them miss the mark of God's Holiness, and therefore none of us can puff out our chests and claim we are better than others.
(btw, I am an Evangelical, raised in and worshipping in a conservative Baptist church for over nearly 50 years....saved when I was seven.........and now in a very Evangelical Presbyterian church. My understanding of Scripture is quite solid in the teaching of sin, Old_Mil.......as is my understanding of Pharisees).
And all of us need that as much as the other. You and I as much as a homosexual.
I have NEVER heard him declare publicly that homosexuality is a sin. During the 2004 presidential debates, one of the questions asked during Schieffer's stint as moderator, was a question that expressely asked both Bush & Kerry whether homosexuality was a choice or genetically programmed. Both men INCLUDING Bush had not a clue as to what to say... I expected that from Kerry, but even Bush waffled on it and said "I don't know". Obviously Bush is not aware of Rom 1:18-32 that specifically declares homosexuality & lesbianism as "unnatural & vile, exchanging the natural use for what is against nature" (verses 26-27). So I have a hard time imagining Pres. Bush, the epitome of political correctness (ie Islam is a religion of peace) who would publicly state that homosexuality is a sin.
Normally I don't do this but I would want to see an actual transcript or website with his declaration that homosexuality is a sin.
You have already declared absolutely that he could not have said it, so there is very little point in my hunting it up now, is there?
You are absolutely certain of the President's lack of spiritual understanding (relative to yours, that is). Far be it from me to try to set you straight when your mind is sealed like a tomb....
Let's leave it this way. YOU have NEVER heard him say it, so he obviously NEVER said it.......since I'm sure you've heard every word he's ever said.
Ok, if that's the way you're going to pout & act up, then I will go back to my original statement which is that President Bush has NEVER publicly made such a "politically incorrect" statement that homosexuality is a sin. You're the one who made the statement....if he has then show it to me. If I am wrong I will admit.
Don't get mad at me for the plain spoken truth of the Bible. If you don't like what Rom 1:26-27 has to say about homosexuality & lesbians, than your complaint is not with me, but with the author (God) of the book.
And no, I never claimed that I have heard every word that Pres Bush has spoken. If he had ever made a statement like this, I am sure the gays, liberals, lefties & lunatic media would be throwing it in his face at every opportunity.
I can tell you this right now. He said it during the 2000 campaign in South Carolina when someone was trying to trap him. He was asked if he thought homosexuality was a sin, and he put his arm around the guy and said, "We're ALL sinners."
In other words, "Yes." But we all sin, so I'm not going to condemn them above myself......a sinner, saved by grace.
Now as to your bizarre and condescending second paragraph about me....... please read any of my posts on this forum, and see what I believe about Scripture and homosexuality. You are SO far off base that, once again, I'm almost amused at how competely opposite of the truth your accusation is.
Once again........the President said what he said subtlely and with gentle humor. Perhaps you wouldn't get it, even if he said it to your face.

Just for the record.........an excerpted quote of mine from a similar thread earlier today.
My moral standards, and convictions regarding the sin of homosexuality, and my knowledge of Scripture is unswerving. Where you came up with that "your complaint is with God" stuff is beyond me. It's the complete opposite of my belief.
I'm beginning to wonder if the DU isn't working overtime on this topic to deliberately misrepresent solid freepers by distorting and completely lying about what we believe.....
Quilla...........here's another one doing exactly the same thing.......
Then what are you getting all bent out of shape over? All I pointed out was Rom 1:26-27, and you're railing on me for my earlier statement that homosexuality and lesbianism is not a natural inbred trait. It is a vile, unnatural choice, completely at odds with nature or what God intended, and is the final result of a reprobate mind and sunken depraved culture.
You must be confusing me with someone else, because what you are saying about me is the complete opposite of what I believe.
btw, I am not 'bent out of shape.' I am calling you on your distortions...........no, completely opposition to the truth.........of what I believe.
Please correct your deliberate or accidental misrepresentation of my words. I don't take too kindly to lies about me.
Do you think I should?
(I can bring in a couple of hundred character witnesses, if you doubt me).
So what are we arguing or debating about then? All I did was mention Rom 1:26-27 in regard to some earlier posts that stated homosexuality was inbred & genetic. I took exception to that and quoted Rom 1:26-27 to refute that. That's it.
What are we debating about? LOL!
At this point, we are 'debating' about the fact that you falsely accused me.
Are you going to apologize for that, or doesn't your Bible include the Ten Commandments?
I don't take too kindly to others' attributing words and positions to me that I have never said, nor taken. Especially when they say I 'railed' about them.
It's obvious that the truth is not a priority with you, but it is with me.
Our debate now centers on your mistatement of fact..........deliberate (which would be a lie), or accidental (which would be the inability or unwillingness to read). Whichever it is, you owe me an apology for it, or at least an admission that your accusation was false.
(You're a late 2004 sign-on. Many of you are trouble makers from other Internet sites which shall not be named. Is that what you're doing here? So far, I see very little to think you're a legitimate freeper).
Have you read the Gospels, rcrn? Have you seen what the Pharisees attacked Jesus for? Fellowshipping with sinners. Making NO comparison saying that the President is like Jesus Christ (which will surely be said by someone), but knowing that he, as a follower of Jesus Christ, tries to emulate what his Savior would do, I'd say that his love for others is not to be condemned, but to be emulated. His behavior is more consistent with Biblical truth than yours.
Since then I have simply reiterated my comments that I am pointing out what Rom 1:26-27 said, and yes, you have been railing on me ever since then. Also by the way, your comment that President Bush specifically mentioned that homosexuality is a sin does not jive with your later explanation when he deferred the question by stating that we are all sinners... yes, that is true. But to say that he made a "politically incorrect" statement that homosexuality is a sin, is stretching it I believe. Perhaps you should be apologizing to me for continuing this ridiculous thread. By the way it doesn't make any difference if I joined in 2004 or before....those of you who joined earlier do not have the corner on being able to express opinions, which is all I have done, and used scripture (as a born again Christian) as my basis.
Please read the Ten Commandments, son. One of them (the 9th) commands us not to bear false witness. You have done that, and yet you continue to defend doing it, all the while maintaining that you are a Christian.
With such a nebulous, shaky value system, I would presume that you are quite young, and have been raised in a post-modern, situation ethics culture.........a culture that has invaded the fabric of the Church.
Unlike the culture you have been raised in, there ARE moral absolutes.........and making a false accusation is in the black part of 'black and white,' rcrn. If you don't get that yet, there is no point in trying to continue to explain it.
I won't return to this 'debate.' One cannot discuss moral values with another who doesn't think honesty is among them.
Think about that.
You're hopeless. You're accusing me of making false accusations and yet that is what you are doing to me in yoru entire final post to me. No I am not a young person but you have spun this whole ridiculous discussion away from the very scriptures I was quoted as validation for my point. You have done nothing but hurl accusations at me. Bye.
It is not 'hopeless' to want others to tell the truth. It is what God commands.
You're accusing me of making false accusation and yet that is all you are continuing to do. You are hopeless. Leave now.
Just admit that you were wrong in accusing me of something I didn't say or do or think, and we'll be done here.
It's not that hard. Just say, "I'm sorry I accused you of what you did not do." That's all you need to do.
