The question is with those of you who believe that they should treat homosexuals as worse sinners than say, gossips or liars..... As born again Christians, they treat others with love........which is, I believe, in accordance with Scripture, and with Christ's example. Is that something that your denomination has failed to teach you?

Loving people through charity doesn't extend to fraternizing with advocates of sin. I suppose that's something that church-lite neglects to mention these days. Regarding the seriousness of sin, absolutely it is a worse sin than gossip, as illustrated by God's judgements on it. Or does your denomination advocate the idea that all sins are equal?

I have seen no 'fraternizing' with advocates of sin. I see born again believers treating others as Christ would have them treat them.

As for my denomination..........I believe in the literal interpretation of Scripture, and in its inerrancy. That teaches me that all of our righteousness is as filthy rags, and that we have all fallen short of God's glory. Some sins have greater earthly consequences, but ALL of them miss the mark of God's Holiness, and therefore none of us can puff out our chests and claim we are better than others.

(btw, I am an Evangelical, raised in and worshipping in a conservative Baptist church for over nearly 50 years....saved when I was seven.........and now in a very Evangelical Presbyterian church. My understanding of Scripture is quite solid in the teaching of sin, Old_Mil.......as is my understanding of Pharisees).

Neglected to add the most important thing...........only through the sacrifice on the Cross, and the blood of Jesus Christ can we have atonement for our sins.

And all of us need that as much as the other. You and I as much as a homosexual.
