WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of gay and lesbian parents hoping to take their families to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll plan to start lining up Friday evening to make sure they get tickets for the Monday event.
Thousands of tickets an estimated 16,000 last year are given away on a first-come-first-come basis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
National Park Service officials said Wednesday that children of all ages may attend as long as there is at least one child 7 years old or younger, and no more than two adults per group.
First lady Laura Bush's office issued a statement saying all families are welcome to attend.

Makes sense to me, when one thinks about it. Well done. I think higher educational levels have something to do with it too.
Do you mean that educated people are more likely to be sexually liberated or that educated people are more likely to tolerant of liberated sexuality, or both?
It's worth noting, BTW, that the regard of tolerance and liberation as virtues is a modern post-Enlightenment phenomenon. So is the esteem of individualism.
If I remember rightly it was rained off cannot remember if it was re-scheduled or just scaled down.
And neither is the President' stand on the border he ran both times on a guest worker program.
All families welcome can equally mean of different race not homosexual.
I take it as a welcoming gesture of all are welcome whatever your circumstances is this not the message of America that is what I have been told.
For goodness sake grow up it is a friendly all are welcome message.
Your line of reason would mean that if there were a lesbian or homosexual parent at your child's school to collect their child you would keep your child off school.
The correct way of behaving is to teach children right from wrong no exclude them from the reality of life.
Why do you call and what proof have you that Laura Bush is liberal?
People don't like that she's pro-choice. Like her mother-in-law.
Why not screw up the Easter egg roll too, they have screwed up da*n near everything else.
I hear this said from others but have never read anything she has said that backs this up I know the Roe v Wade comment but that does not prove she is pro choice.
Is it unreasonable to consider politicians who kiss homosexual's @$$e$ to get along with them, to be perverts as well?
The latter more than the former. The former as a state of mind perhaps up to a point, rather than of action. For what it is worth, I don't know of any lawyer with whom I have dealt, who would hold the views expressed by some on this thread.
SUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEE.
Try to explain to your kid why some of the kids there have two female parents or two male parents.
We have been exposed so long and so much to this politically correct crap, that it doesn't even seem wrong when we see it. As a matter of fact, we have been programed to regarded weird or bizarre social behavior as normal.
Kids shouldn't be adopted by socially disrfunctional individuals in the first place.
And the Bushes are laying out the carpet not only for illegal invaders, but now this - bring your kids to a party where they can be exposed to "alternative lifestyles" in the flesh.
I doubt the comments of the gay activities and the statement from the First Lady's office are linked I very much doubt when this statement was issued they were aware of the gay activist's possible threatening to make a "statement" at the event.
I have my doubts
I see another 2004 sign up poster, there seem to be a lot of strange 2004 out there (I can say that I signed up in 2004 LOL).
How is the wrist/arm?
Much, much better, snugs!
And thanks for asking!
