If all of these "man apes" did in fact die out, then explain why the rest of the apes quit evolving. Also why were all "inferior animals not killed out by man, if we were so vicious as to kill off these?

You've asked me for just one piece of evidence, here's a few. Before you just write them off as nonsense, first prove them wrong.

1. We're breathing, science can explain how, but not why, I submit this as evidence. We breathe in spite of reason, because God allows it. I'll count all other biology that science cannot explain in this point. ie why electric impulses in our muscles cause the contraction, and so forth.

2. Our planets perfect alignment, composition, and materials base, to sustain human life, just coincidence? I think not.

3. Several documented cases each year of people who are miraculously healed by this very same God you have asked me to prove. I have personally seen Cancer cleared, torn knee cartilage restored, spinal problems healed. I myself have been brought through accidents that I never should have lived through, and the cartilage in question was mine. Please explain these away.

4. In spite of more evidence that could be presented tonight, the final evidence, or should I say proof will come with His return.

"A rather feminist outlook, though."

Its impossible for a woman to asexually give birth to man.

Who remembers that story about a fertility expert who used one egg to fertilze another?

Let's insert a miracle at the point where a fairly substantial amount of water becomes wine in a very short period of time. What, scientifically speaking, is "supernatural" about such an occurence? Oh. It doesn't happen every day? Neither does a nuclear explosion. Neither does your birth into this world.

In the case of this well-attested "miracle" it starts as a liquid and ends as a liquid. The chemical makeup of water and wine, on a percentage basis, is how much different one from the other? Not much different. If you were the one who designed and manufactured H2O how much trouble would it be to tweak it on a special occasion just to point something out? Not much trouble, but very much worth it, especially if one's life were at stake.

None of the things related by the biblical texts and reported as "miracles" are so preposterous as to throw into doubt physical reality, scientific certitude, or the "course of nature." The supernatural nature of reality comes into play when thought comes into play. Here we are dealing with more than flesh and blood. Here we are dealing with principlities and powers which, while not currently under the purview of general science, are no less real than the screens before our eyes.

though I did get a real laugh out of this one, it does not address my statement.

Nonsense. So when Paul erroneously claims (not knowing of North America, South America, and vast populations far to the east of Persia in Asia and far to the south of Egypt in Africa) that the gospel had been preached throughout the whole world (e.g. Colossians 1:23, Romans 1:8, etc) then that means everything else in the bible is false?

How does that follow?

There is no answer to that because science only looks for phenomena that are regular . . .

Practitioners of science are free to constrict themselves as such, and much good has come from these constrictions. But if you are unable scientifically to define what is or is not a miracle, then I do not think you are qualified scientifically to dismiss such a thing as having relevance or irrelevance in scientific pursuits.

The Gospel is in Genesis 3 and would have been proclaimed by the first humans to those who followed into all parts of the world. We may think this portion of the biblical texts to be a recent invention, when in fact it has been part of common knowledge from the beginning. The Apostle Paul knew as much.

As for the claim that the biblical texts are either 100% true or 100% false, I tend to believe they are 100% true, while we are inclined to consider them true only when it suits our fancy.

Vade,
You are slipping in your old age. If I lower an IQ of 125 by 50 the IQ becomes 75. So if I lower an IQ of 125 by -50 (aka negative 50) it becomes what?
Good Luck and remember no cheating.
As always warmest regards,

In spite of more evidence that could be presented tonight, the final evidence, or should I say proof will come with His return.

First thank you for keeping this civil so many here don't!

Apes are intermediate steps in evolution. They are in between lower monkeys and humans. Evolution does not happen quickly, its takes a long time, and our recorded history is terribly short. The apes never quit evolving, we didn't evolve from chimps, instead we both evolved from the same species. Its the difference between being somes son, or brother. It has taken almost 5 million years to evolve humans into current form.

Also we didn't viciously kill them off, we outhunted on their territory. We were too similar to survive in teh same places. We competed directly.

And for your evidence that god exits you listed a list of things are unexplainable. 2000 years ago we had no idea why the sun came up every day, we now know thats its because earth rotates.

The reason we breathe is because our body needs O2 to complete chemical reactions which turns simple sugars into energy that our muscles use.

There are billions of planets, it had to happen somewhere. There is a very small chance that someone wins the lottery, but that doesn't prove someone picked that person as a winner on purpose. There is always a chance that the body will cure a disease, or do something that it isn't supposed to do. Why? maybe because a God changed it, but its just as likely that in a very very very small percent of people their bodies can naturally heal themselves. I'd like to believe its because of God but the truth is, it can't be proven. I've had some werid stuff happen that seemly is unexplainable, for example the day my dad had 3 massive heart attacks he happened to be carrying a rosary in his pocket that wasn't his that he found in our bathroom. Hes not a religous person, and otherwise would never carry one but for some reason he did. Well his heart stopped that day and he needed to be defibed to get his heart beating again, and the doctors told my mom that he would die. A priest even gave him his last rights, but he managed to survive, and his heart recovered with no lasting damage. No one will ever know if its just a random occurance or not.

The theory of evolution is about how complicated organisms came from less complicated organisms. It never states where the first ones came from. It could very easily be god who started life here, or it could be bacteria from some alien who landed her 200 million years ago or it have been a very random chance that some organic chemicals mixed in a random way that created life. We may find out, but until we can get proof, you shouldn't try to indoctrinate other peoples children. I just got out of highschool 2 years ago and in my biology class we discussed evolution heavily yet never the origin of life. This is the way it should be. Leave the religion part for the sunday school teacher. Ironically my catholic CCD teachers never taught us much about the Old Testament.

If you allow public schools to teach religion in a nation where there are literally thousands of relgious differences, there will always be a problem. How would you like it if your grandchild ended up in a majority Islamic school? With our nations immigration policies it could happen.

You presume a great deal. You presume you can demand that I answer your 'either or' question. You must have an 'either or' mind. But I'll answer your question anyway. I don't know, neither do you, and it doesn't matter.

Actually wine has elements that water does not have, so in order water to turn into wine you'd need 1)devine power or 2)a combination of fission or fusion of the H and O atoms.

"I subscribe to the notion that all people who pay for public schools are entitled to have all ideas presented to them."

Quit hiding your religion behind false pretenses.
