i haven't heard a single thing about this natalee letter except here on our site...no one is discussing it that i am aware of other than us and maybe some other blogs...has anyone heard any of the TV talking heads going over this apparent rumor? what is the source for this preposterous claim? any referrals would be greatly appreciated, but the entire idea is such bombastic baulderdash it would be no different than someone telling me john kennedy is alive and well and living with elvis and janis in aruba...in fact, i would believe that first...

The letter from Natalee story was presented by Steve Cohen on Rita Cosby's show. He has been the only source for the story that I have seen. The transcript is available if anyone is interested.

if you can direct me to that i would like to read it in its entirety...and thanks for the good and kind words to IIntense...we should keep every person willing to assist in this noble cause feeling comfortable and welcome to be here, just as those who are insincere have an exacting obligation to be made to feel the opposite...and any letter is a fake as we all know, and might actually prod a prosecution for SOMETHING in aruba, although its possible that dutch law actually allows false evidence because of the seperation of intelligence formatted into the system, or whatever it is dumpig and his cohorts are always claiming

I realize this response is rather later, but I just found this thread due to a ping. I too think some form of the traffic trade has something to do with her disappearance. She still might be dead, but I think she was taken originally to hand over to those who traffic people. The Charles Croes' strange remarks early on, hinted at something so horrible that people would be shocked by it - a dirty little secret - so to speak.

I watched a 4 hour movie about human trafficking on the Lifetime channel about a month ago. It was based on the very real problem of human trafficking. What I've stated doesn't take away the possibility that Joran and his buddies didn't kill her, but their intention for taking her may have been for the purpose of trafficing. Due to Juran's anger or something else, she may have died before that happened. Or another possibility - the 3 mislead authorities to save their sorry butts from death by those who deal in human sex trade.

Early on there was even a story by Jossy of 3 persons who were holding Natalee captive and trying to get her off the island. I hope the day will come when the truth is finally told.

So the letter was supposedly received in September, and Dompig took the letter today (12-09-05)from PVDS to send to the lab in Holland. Guess it took PVDS 4 months to think this one up!

You have my admiration, RGVTx, for the efforts you put into informing everyone on the disgraceful treatment of Natalee's parents who have a right to answers. Whatever I posted here that led anyone to believe I have ever thought otherwise is a mystery to me.

I disagree with those who think Greta gave too much program time to this case, rather than address the Iraqi war and other important news. The way I see it, Greta has just one hour a night during the week. All other news is fully covered throughout the rest of the day, and weekends. Nobody's being shortchanged on world news. For those who don't want to listen to Greta, Joe Scarborough, or Dan Abrams reporting on the Natalee Holloway case, they can change the channel. That's what I have to do when I don't like a program.

I know I'm going on too long here, but I don't want to have to defend myself anymore. I appreciate the nice welcome mats put out by some yet I have the distinct feeling that anyone who has not been "in the loop" for a number of years is automatically suspect. I don't understand it. It's kind of funny. We have accepted the spouses our kids chose. We didn't pick them! But we damn well treat them as family members from day one. No, none of them are trolls. LOL

That's my take on it also. They are desperate to wipe away any guilt on that island. Their new tactic is to try convincing their critics that Natalee didn't wear a halo so that made her life worthless. What a stupid strategy! I, for one, don't care whether or not she was the ideal teenager. She did not deserve to die and Aruba has not given their all to finding out how she died and who was involved.

I am one who thinks she is no longer living, sad to say.

This is what makes no sense at all. Why would they want the letter to be from Sept. instead of now? Unless the letter is a total fraud that PVDS knows nothing about, why would he wait until now to reveal that he had received it? The only thing I can think of that has happened after Sept. and before now is that PVDS has been "cleared" of any charges in the case. What if it does have NH's fingerprints or DNA on it and PVDS wanted to make certain there was no chance of his being further investigated once he turned over the letter? It has been spun to us by the usual suspects that once a person is found by a judge to have been wrongly charged, he can't be charged with the same thing again. Just thinking out loud. I find the letter to be one of the most bizarre aspects of all the weird things that have gone on in this case.

Just one more thought concerning the letter - IF it were to contain her fingerprints or DNA, this would be the ONLY piece of physical evidence in this case. Everything else has either been discredited or has vanished (tape, bones, hair, etc.)
