An Open Letter to Mr. Jim Robinson
April/25/05 | jveritas

Posted on 04/25/2005 6:13:10 AM PDT by jveritas

What is happening to Free Republic Mr. Robinson? The Bush Haters and Republican Haters are getting louder and more daring by the hour. These phony conservatives who claim the Conservatism purity are savagely attacking President Bush and the GOP as bad as the worst liberals.

The Bash Bush feast is becoming a part of every thread. Everywhere you see Bush is a traitor, Bush wants to sell our sovereignty to Mexico, Bush is a liberal, Bush has no spine, Bush is destroying our economy, Bush is puppet in Vincent Fox hand, Bush is this Bush is that, everything wrong in this world is Bush fault.

Nothing but doom and gloom is coming from these phony conservatives. For them our economy is destroyed, liberals are controlling the government, the GOP will be finished by 2006, Mexico has invaded the US and changed its identity, China is superior to us, we are no more a superpower, and on and on and on. Every minor bump in the road is turned into a Mount Everest of catastrophe and disaster

Either Free Republic will remain the Premier political forum on the internet, a site to advance the real conservative cause and provide great and continuous support to our President Bush and the Republican Party, or it will be forum controlled by bitter and delusional phony conservatives who can never win on the ballot box, and come to FR to poison the atmosphere through their extreme kooky rhetoric and turn it into another Dummyland.

Enough is Enough.

You are exactly the type of people I meant in my post. Exactly the type. Just unbelievable.

I say that puts me in good company.

It seems that you, 'veritas', don't appreciate the value of your chosen name. I guess when the truth hurts, you don't want to hear it.

k2blader to jAveritas: I remember you. You posted on another thread that you are not a citizen of the United States. Yet you proceeded to attack the conservative credentials of actual citizens of the United States. And here you are doing it again. Do you have no shame?

Amen, blader :o)

I can handle it. I just assume that I need to explain myself better - or the Republican Party does. And every so often someone in the Party doesn't do what I consider the perfect thing. But, in the aggregate, I know which Party is pro-life, has the strongest tendency to small government and individual freedom.

And Jim Robinson is a great example of the good men and women of the Republican Party.

"The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."

You forgot the Farm Bill, CFR, endorsing civil "unions" and a host of other things.

Only thing he's done right is the WOT.

My nit pick would be:

Only thing he's done right is the overseas WOT. I'm not thrilled with the USA PATRIOT Act.

Gee, um, speaking of legitimate criticisms of President Bush (even though some dim bulbs would prefer to silence such healthy criticism)...

y'all remember when Dubya chose to endorse Leftist Arlen Lechter over a conservative in the PA GOP primary?

Well, well, well. Take a look at THIS scary scenario of a possible Specter betrayal on the constitutional option.

Christian beliefs???????????????????
Here's a list that I send to the President every couple of months reminding him of his supposed Christian beliefs. Hasn't done any good so far. Would you join me in trying to awaken those beliefs that are so often mentioned but not acted on to a point where I've noticed?

I would post pictures for all to see but then the thread would get pulled. You see the truth is too much for a lot of FReepers to handle. It's easier to read the 'nice stories' and ignore the ugly truths.

Gonads sell for $550. With his paycheck ($400,000 per year, including a $50,000 expense allowance.) he can afford to have an extra set around for when that tough political decision comes up.

Bush is a visionary, he's a straight shooter, he's bold, and he's willing to take risks, large ones, to avoid the even larger risks of doing nothing. I'm a hugh admirer of the guy. But not being a limited government man, Bush is not conservative, whatever that is, in an important way.

I saw the interviews with Hannity wherein the MMP leaders unequivocably stated they would not hesitate to feed or give water to anyone who needed it. That is a far, far cry from their average ardent supporters, who themselves would not be welcome to join the MMP based upon their unChristian mindsets and cruel calls to poison water and to kill migrants in cold blood.

As usual, CJ, not only do you provide a response that has NOTHING to do with what I said, you also attempt to slime the other side with the utterances of a few nutbars who are promptly booted out the door.

Vincente Fox is the Fox in the henhouse, doing what every Mexican dictator has done since forever.

So, what's the UN's position on this illegal flood of mistreated people escaping a despotic regime? Or is it a non-issue as it involves the US?

Listen RACIST lady.

I love America more than you do and I am far more grateful to America than you are. As I said before, I do not wake up every day full of bitterness and hate and trash this great country down like and your ilk do.

America is, was , and will always remain the greatest nation in history despite all your doom and gloom lies that you and your ilk make everyday.

Shall I give my life to defend America, absolutely.

What makes you think that the president, individually, can do jack squat about abortion? What even makes you think that even the Congress can do diddly before the first or second trimesters? All of President Bush's meaningful options in the first six months were foreclosed by Roe v. Wade.

That aside, your letter referring to partial-birth abortion is completely irrelevant now, anyway - here's a photo of Bush signging the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003:

And just for good measure, here's a picture of him signing the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, to outlaw Roman-style infanticide of victims of botched abortions:

I found both of these pictures in articles which turned up with simple Google searches.

Want to discuss again which Party is pro-life, and which Party regards it as a holy sacrament?
