Frankly, you THROW SOMETHING(which could have urine or some other biohazard) at a player and you SHOULD GET YOUR ARSE WHOOPED! Perhaps so, but a player has to have the presence of mind to realize that kicking some dumbass fan's ass could very well cost him his whole career. Is it worth it? Obviously not.

You know thats right!!!! The players union will also keep everything up in the air for at least a couple of months.
Can you believe that Davy Stern makes at least 8 million a year? If Bush made that much, I bet he'd keep the players out of the stands..HA!!!!!

I watched the replay again and it does indeed look like RASHEED Wallace was calm the whole time and was trying to break things up, restrain guys, and calm everything down.
Now THAT'S Ironic for Mr. Technical Foul.
Of course, he's always been a pretty strange guy. He's actually extremely intelligent and is known for being nice off the court.

It appears 4 states were on a county level solid red. Alaska , Utah, Nebraska and Oklahoma.

I tend to doubt short suspensions - not with fans involved. This is one of the uglier moments in US sports history and the NBA is not going to want endless replays of fans getting pummeled airing everywhere on Xmas day.
I think Artest is going to get that long vacation he was looking for a couple weeks ago to promote his new (c)rap CD.

I guess from now on we'll have to say the TNT/ESPN/ABC NBA announcers are sitting ringside?

I may be mistaken, but I think the beer bottles they sell at sporting events are plastic now, not glass (and as we learned tonight, for good reason).... Awww! Nothin' gets the adrenaline goin' like a good old-fashioned glass-bottle fight!

You are correct. After re-watching it, it would have been wiser for Artest to sit on the court and calm down. even exchange verbal insults with the guy, but then stay back.
I'm not saying Artest is right, but the other Pacers were initially trying to get his arse back on the floor, and they were attacked almost immediately. And that one huge fat dude attacked Tinsley who was doing nothing to anyone.
Security didn't do much to earn its pay.

Nah, Jackson didn't go in to drag Artest back..he went in to get some.
To: itsamelman
I think there needs to be criminal charges on some of the fans, particularly the big guy slugging Pacer Fred Jones from behind.
Ben Wallace is the Gavrilo Princip here.

Who was the other pacer who went after a fan big time...not Artest..the onw who went after a fan who threw the beer at Artest after he punched one fan?

Yeah, if anyone on the Pacers should be disciplined, it's him. He was trying to goad Derrick Coleman into a fight - isn't he like 400 pounds now?

Was Rodman around?rodman just signed with a minor league team
