Levin: Kobe talking plea deal for non-sex crime
Harvey Levin via Good Day Live | Self

Posted on 08/04/2004 10:56:48 AM PDT by GAGOPSWEEPTOVICTORY

According to Harvey Levin ("Celebrity Justice") from sources connected with both sides in Eagle, Colorado:

1) Kobe accepts a plea bargain for a non-sex crime misdemeanor such as Third-Degree assault. (misdemeanor, Kobe might get probation, wouldn't have to register as sex offender).

2) Kobe settles the civil case. Pays a financial settlement. Gives letter of apology saying, "that even though Kobe Bryant belived that he was doing nothing wrong, that she felt she had been assaulted in the hotel room, and for that he was sorry."

No plea deals struck, but parties talking about it.

Not as funny as you though.

Oh, we've just begun. I think you've used the best material in your repertoire. There's no place to go but down. Oh well.........I suppose you're accustomed to disappointment

Great so you are UnAmerican and anti-Constitutional. The US Constitution grants you that right. It also grant INDIVIDUAL rights to all of us including Mr. Bryant.

I have my sermon for the day and it isn't even Sunday....

I love people who get on a thread , discuss a case they really don't keep up with and insult the other posters who happen to be interested in the complete case....So revealing and enlightening.

I have no idea whether rape occurred.I have not read the transcripts, I have heard TV blurbs, the inexcusable publishing of what should not have been by Colorado law...The blood on his tshirt made me think it was rough and possibly rape..

I'll leave it up to the courts...intermingled DNA really left this case unwinnable I believe...Doesn't mean it's correct or not..I just believe the alleged victim is on trial.

Rape is a very emotional subject..Know the facts of the case as it is revealed in court before attacking fact givers in a particular case...Opinions of guilt or innocence are permissable on a forum....Just be prepared to defend it..

Strapped to....

Yep.

We had a case a few years back involving a guy whose daughter said she'd been molested by a man who'd crawled through her bedroom window. The powers that be decided she was just unable to face the fact that it was her dad and had made up the story, they therefor decided to remove the daughter from the home. He went through the whole route trying to prove he wasn't a pedophile, but they weren't buying it.... until some considerable time later when the cops arrested a known child molester trying to crawl through some kid's window a few block away.

Most of the worst aspects of the operation of the "system" occur when it gets in the hands of the PC crowd.

No, you started it with your across the board, anyone who watches CTV groupie "insults".

FYI, I don't really care what happens to Kobi. In fact, I tune out of CTV when they do the updates. But I do read the threads and am still on the fence with his guilt or innocence, believe it or not.

Not that you deserve a respectful answer, 'cause you don't.

People can disagree, but it depends on how they write on the disagreements.... or, if a poster leaves no comment, IMO or ROFL or ??? letting others know, it is only your comment unless otherwise. Just my humble thoughts here. ;o)

Gads, I shut the TV off when I start seeing and listening pundit heads going off on a tatrum, or filled with vile, such as what was shown on Hannity and Colmes, (or holmes..lol..) which Robert F Kennedy Jr was on a tirade.... Geeish, it was laughable and irritating, but I had to leave the tube... (get up too early for work for one thing!)

You are delusional and have no experience with how the court system works. If you were facing a felony for tax evasion and looking a few years jail, you would singing a much different tune with a lesser charge on the table and probation.

Maybe you should actually READ the Constitution before commenting.
It guarantees the tall guy a presumption of innocence, by his judge and jury, in court, while on trial.
That is it. The rest of us are entitled to think whatever we want of him, for whatever reason, without any constitutional violation.

It depends. In theory, yes.

In practice, probably not. It's probably not a good criminal case since there has been a prolonged passage of time between the offense and the filing of a criminal complaint.

The statute of limitations may bar both a criminal and civil action depending on what Florida law says on the subject.

I am not an attorney

Nor am I, but it's a classic case, and quite interesting reading. You'll find it on Findlaw.com or the Supreme Court's web site if you want to take a look at it. It's mandatory reading for every first year law student and every first year journalism student.

I had forgotten the civil rights basis of the case until you brought it up, thanks for mentioning that.

As I said the US Constitution recognizes your right to be UnAmerican. But it is most certainly UnAmerican to say flatly someone is guilty by association. Perhaps you should check out what it means to be an American.

This just in from CTV:

"Just reported on ABC news..........K F's medical record were allowed and those records confirm that K F had sex with someone else AFTER she had sex with Kobe. Once that romp was over, K F cried raped. They gave the name of the guy she had sex with and test show that the other semen sample taking at thr rape exam belongs to this person."

Accusing and/or arresting someone of an alleged crime does not make them guilty. For instance, I could ACCUSE you of being obtuse regarding this case...but does that make it so?

Well, okay, bad analogy...

Guilt or innocence is for a jury to decide, not a district attorney.
