If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I... And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight... Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair... bentfeather©

Pennsylvania requires only one plate, so several, errr, pranks were pulled with odd front plates.

Yes, a sign with a grey mist field under a full moon with the words The Vehicle of the Eventide lettered in the center would look neat.

Freeper Laura Earl and I became officially engaged Saturday and this morning I wrote this little rhyme.

She Said

We went out to our jewelry store,
To see just what was there.
We looked at rings with diamonds,
One-Carat Solitaire.
She found the one that caught her eye,
I asked if they would clean it.
I louped it under different lights,
It jumped to life I mean it.
I hit one knee and asked her if,
She would become my wife.
The answer that came from her lips,
Was strange, you bet your life.
There I knelt with heart a pound,
Expecting shed say yes.
Instead with tears she issued forth,
Well sure, I mean, I guess.

    My Flowers

My flowers do not come from shops... Or near my garden
wall...Because my flowers are the friends... Who take the
time to call... They are the living lilacs and... The roses red
and white... The tulips and forget-me-nots... Of every day
and night... They are the folks who ring my bell... Or write
me from afar... To offer me their services... And tell me how
they are... Who somehow always seem to have... A little time
to spare... To fill my vases with their smiles... And let me
know they care... They are the gentle souls with whom... I
never want to part... Because they are the flowers fair... That
 blossom in my heart.

I looked at her, in response to that response, the way my Lab looks at me when she isn't sure what I'm saying. Head twisting to the left. I think that was the first time she ever mushed out in all the time I've known her.

I sent this with my FR quarterly Credit Card donation this morning.

"Freedom"

Freedom isnt free you know,
The cost is very high.
For freedom, battles must be fought,
And often people die.
We fight a war here everyday,
Against the liberal horde.
Our voice is heard, at least its read,
We speak through a keyboard.
So rally round the FR flag,
And listen when I say.
With your support we can fight on,
One dollar everyday.

Thanks, that's great. I could never rhyme like that. I have one I wrote this morning about a dear friend and there isn't a rhyme to be found in it anywhere. I think I'll post it now. LOL.

Beyond words

I want to write about a love,
a love I have for a friend that is beyond measure.

Where do I find the words to decsribe this love?

I search my soul and find only feelings I am unable to express with speech

I look to my lips for the words to form and find only a smile that will not fade when thinking of him.

I listen to my heart and hear only the sound of serenity in knowing him, it cannot be written down.

A connection, a bond, a oneness of being that reaches beyond reason and explanation, yet it's there and if fills me with joy.

A love for a friend ~ beyond words

Very nice. I could foul it up and make it rhyme. But I don't mess with other peoples feelings so eloquently (sp) expressed.

I'd foul it up big time if I tried to rhyme. I just don't have the vocabulary for it. :(

I don't have a vocabulary either whatever that is. But I flunked sentence structure so Rhyming is easy for me. You on the other hand have good structure.

Seriresly; Thoughts expressed and understood are the key to communication. I loved the piece you posted.
