My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Thanks so much for the lines today. You do very well indeedThanks. Trying to keep up with you takes a lot out of me. Your last three have overloaded my circuits. (popped all my bulbs)
I think we just need a moment or two of silence in recognition of your brilliance.

Good Morning
Bent Feather
I am sorry to say, that
In the wee hours of the morning
When sensible, practical people were sleeping
I tried again to say
Something, anything to
Try and brighten your day It wasnt easy, so dont complain
Metaphors were mixed,
allusions confused
I got way off track,
The language I abused
But here it is
A measured response to
Message #40:
She asked of her tears,
what should she do with them
Give them to me, I said
I will guard them well
And what of my passion she said,
What will I do with it
Give it to me, I said
I will take it and give it again
And what of my frame, she asked
What shall go therein
Give it to me my fair lady
We will fill it with all the colors of spring
With memories of dancing on the clouds
And sumptuous picnics in the wood
Under the shade of towering tress
Where the birds will sing for us
And the squirrels will play
With the echos of laughter
We will fill your frame
Running and chasing,
happy kisses in the rain
Drenching afternoon showers
Well go, looking for our rainbow
And finding it,
Know the promise that it shows
Never knowing the hour
lost in each other
not caring about time
Just cramming a life of living
Into a moment
To fill your gilded frame
Ive waited a lifetime
to catch your tears with soft kisses,
to rub away your hurts
to absorb your pain
I have waited forever
to feel your passion close,
lighting a fire, and letting it burn
I will wait eternal to fill your frame
with joy, laughter, and music and
the joy of spring throughout all the seasons
I will fill your frame
With all of the colors
that make your heart sing
Give me your heart and Ill mend it.
And put it back in place, again
And then, just then, we may go and box with the winds.
And I will hold you close,
and never let you go
(unless of course, you insist)

Good morning Rhyminsimon.
Nice bit of work you have done in the night.
Often that is when the muse is best
and the poet is blessed to write nite
whispers in verse to pass the test.
To: Rhyminsimon
Logan Pearsall Smith said, "There are few sorrows, however poignant, in which a good income is of no avail."

Sans love traces of very soft desire are dead and sacrifices ended... Was I laughing?

I passed the test?
So now I can rest?
May I in protest,
Say youre still the best?
My Rebuttal to Hamlet
Hamlet my dear tortured prince, you said
That you would rather, quickly be dead
Until you realized that you might dream
The thought of which made you scream.
Aye theres the rub, you violently said
giving your reason for not wanting to be dead
But, my dear Hamlet, oh prince, I protest
If you dreamed my dreams, you surely could rest
If I knew in death, my dreams would come
I would gladly and madly to my end run
The dreams that the Dragon Fly poetess inspire
Are magical scenes. They set my heart on fire.
For just last, night, soon aft I closed my eyes
She came on the breeze, upon her dragon fly.
She hovered outside my window singing an alluring song
My spirt left my body to rest, whispering, I wont be long
I gazed through my window at her and into her eyes
The picture of such beauty, my face showed surprise
She smiled that smile I have come now to know
I was mesmerized, smitten. Oh fate! What a blow.
I dove out the window on to the other dragaon fly steed
Which she had so thoughtfully provided for me.
Off , like lightening, flashing through the sky
Just me and my lady upon our dragonflies
So Hamlet, you poor soul, when ever again you ask
Whether to be or not, dont be an idiot, or an ass
Take the sleep with the dreams when they come
All else in comparison is simply boring, and ho hum.

FAIRY SPATTERING
You believe love is fairy spattering around curves
My silky voice is your soul water creating life
I am your Prophetess...

The dreams that the Dragon Fly poetess inspire Are magical scenes.
They set my heart on fire.
Dragon Fly Seeds
she scatters here and there
have you seen them in your hair?
Zephyr breezes and dewy nights
riding My Dragon Fly in the night
I fear no Hamlets do I inspire
rather kindred spirits
on fire for poetry...
To: bentfeather
It looketh like:
Thou hast already
A frame full of color
Where magical images abound
Colors and images that swirl and astound
To: bentfeather
rather kindred spirits on fire for poetry... Poetry is but a River
Upon which we sail,
in our search for
The Sea of Love
Once we this reach this
deep blue sea
Poetry becomes Wind
That drives us
And
The Stars
That guide us
To: Rhyminsimon
The Stars That Guide Us
Were I to Gather All the Stars
and lay them at your feet they would light your way to me in our star filled retreat.
I would wear my colors for you only and comb silvered hair up high wear it in Aurora's sweeping waves my colors do not lie.
They are yours and always were the colors of the universe I would freely give to you and lay them at your feet

To: bentfeather
Bring the stars my love
Bring them to me now
I will sail the river till I find you
Your image on my prow Sprinkle a trail for me
Of starlight and fairy dust
I will hurry to lay by your side
And dance with you at dusk
Your colors, I see even now
They shine, brilliant and clear
It seems just a matter of hours
Before I will be with you my dear
Then I will fan your smouldering coals
unitl they turn to flame
And each of the stars one by one,
I will carefully replace in your frame
To: bentfeather; My back yard
Here's something I wrote a while back:
My darling, I will wait for you, no matter how dark the night
I know that you will come, just as the Sun, brings the light.
I will wait in happy anticipation, for the scent of flowers that you bring,
Just as the flowers wait for rain, and creation groans for spring
In the morning when I rise, I will look out toward the west
And long that I could be there, adoring you, as you rest.
To: bentfeather
Here is another fun, moronic effort:
I just met this girl named cindy on a day that was not very windy
He looked at her, his minds eye opened wide
He was struck, smitten, deeply inside.
She said that she would be his friend, but nothing more.
He had to reach down to retrieve his heart from the floor.
But then he perked up, because to him it occured,
That friendship wth her was no dream deferred.
She was a prize greatly to be sought,
but not the type who could be tricked or bought
When she looked at him, smiling with her eyes, he knew
That he could hide nothing, because she could see right through
So he just smiled back at her, knowing he had been caught
that his attempts to show otherwise would just come to naught
He turned off the burner on his Romantic stove
And said he would like to be her friend, at least that, by Jove.
Because a friend in her is much to be sought
Better than marriage, with most of the lot
He waited and waited. He bided his time,
And then she surprised him, and gave him new rhyme
He offered her a handshake and to his total delight
She asked for a hug instead, to bid him goodnight.
It was a hug made in heaven, just brotherly love
But still, it was wonderful, like the singing of a dove
After the first hug, mmmm he had to have more
He managed to steal three before she got to the door
These words I must admit, make me chuckle and smile.
I only hope, that when you read them, you appreciate the style
With the words I like to have fun, and sometimes just let my pen run.
Dont hold it against me, I will take it all back
If you like I will write something else, using more tact.
The sparkles that come out of her eyes, her fragrance as she passes
Like dew on flowers, and rain on trees, could be the opiate of the masses
So ramble on shall I more or is this all just a useless, futile bore?
What more can I say? What more is it I should?
Will the power of the pen do me more harm than good?
Undoubtedly it is true. These words would scare most.
I should just click and make them invisible like a ghost.
Surely that is the action that would serve me the best
I should click on delete, and for work, go get dressed.
But it is fun to sit here and write, and see what comes out
When the letters go to page, as words from my mouth
I will probably like always, not take my good advice
And of myself, offer the lady the wrong slice
Perhaps I should show more restraint, be less intense
Surely that is the path that makes more cents.
There are now things that I really must do,
So away from the keyboard, myself I must shoo.
To: Rhyminsimon
The color of you hair
like desert sand
skin-rough texture
ruddy, angular cut
features, tall, tanned
my breath stops when
you enter a room..
I feel the body warmth
of you as you approach
soft music playing
beckons the night
to dance electric
energy fills the room
static sparks fly off
clothes while
trembling in the
moonlit I wait
tension building
to a crescendo
bam...
perfect
nights with you

Ode to the Agony and Estascy of Henri de Toulouse -Lautrec
In agony he did walk among giants
in agony he did love
through the agony of ecstasy
his art became available to
all- rich and poor alike
a poster creator
A brilliant mind in the stunted
body of a dwarf... ashamed
he traveled the side streets of Paris
to cabarets gaiety laughter and danger
in darkness, oneness, weariness
A sketcher and painter of posters
color of life, a grotesque grimace,
on the face of patrons of night life...
The agony and ecstasy of his short life
remain a most colorful testament of
his night life and cavorting.
I take pleasure in reading his work...

A measure of love is a crown with a circle... Was the blessing hollow? Is desire the inspiration and a dream?

Your beautiful prose
Magically
paint images in color
in my head
which are so real..
I see, hear, feel,
smell and taste
them
I revel in
those images you paint,
With your magical brush
and your fairy dust
You set my senses on fire.
