I just got 25 freebie ink pens and mini-beach balls with our "company" logo on them. I'll be sendin' them your way this week.

They're gonna remake it?
Why??
It was OK the first time...though the book was better. Especially the Ooompa Loompa songs. The lyrics were much different...and harsher. ;)

I can't remember where I heard it. But I think they were announcing who would play the title role...maybe I'm making that up...

Tim Burton is rumored to be directing the re-make, with Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka.
Why oh why can't they just leave well enough alone?
Now, the upcoming "A-Team" and "Starsky and Hutch" movies have me interested, however...

Why oh why can't they just leave well enough alone? Agreed. Somethings just shouldn't be redone.

I may need to go to Plan B -- helping with the postage. My life is an unbelievable whirlwind at the moment, and looks only to increase before taming down again in late November/December.

I didn't eat all of the last loaf I made before it started getting stale, but...
I just picked up some molasses, and I have whole wheat and rye flours in addition to white. Gonna try making a kinda dark, moist loaf. Round...the lazy way.
Here goes nothin'!

I may need to go to Plan B -- helping with the postage. My life is an unbelievable whirlwind at the moment, and looks only to increase before taming down again in late November/December. That will be fine Scott. We will get everything we need and sometimes the postage is hardest for me to cover. (I have a tendancy to spend 2/3 of what I get and then be short for postage. DUH you'd think I'd get it by now. But, I like buying for them!)

I just got 25 freebie ink pens and mini-beach balls with our "company" logo on them. I'll be sendin' them your way this week. That reminds me of a few years back, when the state of Michigan bought 100,000 "State of Michigan" pencils from a supplier for five cents each, or so.
The supplier had 5,000 overruns of this pencil from the manufacturer, so they started selling them for ten cents each. Somehow, the RAT attorney general of Michigan found out, and threatened the supplier with illegal possession of "official state property". The supplier stood his ground, and said that the words "state of Michigan" did not make the pencils the property of the government.
To avoid an embarrassing court fight, the attorney general "ordered" the supplier to sell the 5,000 extra pencils to the state for 20 cents each. It only cost the taxpayer an extra $1000 to prevent "official state pencils" from entering the black market, where who knows what they'd be used for? I know I slept better after that.
