i was going to reply that there wasn't a thing wrong with my peepee in the first place and then i reread your post...; )

i contacted Gateway tech support and they sent me some umpteen mile long list of things to try, most of which i didn't understand. i unplugged the cable modem and plugged it back in, i removed the panicware and window washer software that i had just loaded in the past week, to cope with the popup crap that has been assaulting us at home. and i ran the norton virus scan, and updated it, and they said they have 2 files in quarantine, and they made me do something called RESCUE DISKS. i would say it is maybe 10% better than before i did this stuff, but still not fixed.

Yeah I said PeeCee for intentional misread. I still dabble at psychology. I have a smiley face button except the mouth is straight and it says "Have a Day". Most people think it says "have a nice day" till you make read it again.

Thank you. That's been bruited about that I know of since I was a kid in the 50's, but isn't likely. I remember one article in the paper when I was 11 or so suggesting the new capital of the combined countries would be in a central location: Minneapolis/St. Paul!
