Just came across screen that the Dixie Chicks concert at Gund arena is cancelled. Amazing isn't it that they cancelled one hour before curtain? What do you think?

Due to the illness of one of the girls and doctor's orders, tonight's Dixie Chicks concert has been re-scheduled for June 11th.

Heard on the local Cleveland news this morning that Natalie Maines begged off at the last minute with a sore throat. A number of people were pi$$ed off that they couldn't get parking refunds - some paid up to twenty bucks for parking!

Picking on Natalie Maines is not funny. She has a serious case of barnacles and this can be painful. She also has a bad case of indigestion and is burping up krill and plankton.

Any idiot who pays $20 for parking deserves what they get. There's plenty of free street parking (for the time being) near the Gund Arena. You just might have to *gasp* walk several blocks.

Something extra interesting is that on the radio today I heard this announcement: " Due to a stage configuration change, there are now seats available for tonights Dixie Chicks concert at the Gund Arena"

Not interesting. Happens all the time w/large shows. Arenas block off certain sections of seats to ticket sales until they can see exactly how the stage, etc will be assembled or how it is assembled.

When they figure it out, they release tickets for those areas where they now know fans' views won't be obstructed.

If you're on the ball, being aware of this is actually a great way to score last-minute tickets for sold-out shows.

They're probably still trying to figure out why the maintenance man wanted them to "jog".
