Some people seem to be taking too much pleasure in this. There is an atmosphere here tonight that would be more fitting for the run-up to a major sporting event than a war in which many young Americans may lose their lives.

I don't think anyone here means any harm.. They're excited....And I don't blame them...I would rather see everyone "up" on this and positive, because in reality, they *are* our team. All we have at this point is our two cents and speculation.

I agree...after all, our troops ARE about to fight, it IS happening over there now, and we are over here...simultaneously and actively rooting for them, cheering for them, and praying them on — together, as a unit at FR. A sporting event is a mere shadow of what REAL loyalty and support is all about...the realer thing of the two is what's happening HERE NOW!

You could be right! If I was in Iraq, I wouldn't be going out tomorrow anyways! Once the bombing starts we go 24/7 anyways so not going at night doesn't seem to make much difference.
