Having been around the military for more years than I care to think about, you have to have a sense of humor at a time like this or go nuts. This is deadly serious and we all know it but most of the people I talked to today was saying the same thing and they were either spouses of the military or military members.

Have friends in the Gulf and received an email from one of them that told me to stock up on the popcorn and snacks and watch the fireworks.

That is the way I deal with nerves along with others!

All I know is that they told the USS Truman to sleep during the day and the USS Roosevelt to sleep at night so they can go 24/7. Would expect the rest of the carriers are doing the same!

CNN was just reporting live from one of the ships... stated just that they the two groups would be on opposite schedules such that breakfast would be served at 6pm on one group and 6 am on the other.... thus they would or could be going around the clock as if it was normal.... He said things seemed normal at the present time there.
