I'm looking for a coyote rifle for when I go home this summer...was kind of interested in Ruger's .17 cal, center fire. The darn yippee dogs are hard to get close to after you shoot a couple of 'em. The .17 and the .22 RFM both are limited to about 150 yards.
I am moaning seriously over the AR-15s made by Les Baer. He guarantees 1/2" groups at 100 yards and that gives you under 2" groups at 350 yards range. Good enough even on a prarie dog.

Was at my little apartment at the site and had to roar back up to the work area as we had a slight wreck. A pickup drove off the road with 5-nuts in it...one broken arm and the others all sustained bruises on their heads so I knew they were alright.
We have had so many accidents this season I'm at a loss as to what to do. This one could have been bad as the truck was balanced on a ledge and would have rolled another 150-meters if it hadn't hung up. Seven years ago 5-guys bought it in the same spot...driving like idiots. Hope I can escape without a fatality this season...we're working up to one.

I've noticed the Baer AR-15 advertisements in my National Rifleman mag. and was wondering what they might be costing?
It would seem the .223 is probably the most versatile round for that kind of plinking.

"Laissez les bons temps rouler" Tomorrow should be interesting. OLB threatened to attack the "belly of the beast" on 2/11.
His public apperances precede attacks by ~3 weeks. That's Mardi Gras.
New Orleans is America's food capital.
Look at map of the US, imagine it as an animal, a beast. Ears at New England, front paws at Florida, a little tail at Seattle, sitting on Southern California, rear paws at southern Texas. That puts the very umbilicus of the belly at the Mississippi delta.
The mouth of the mighty Mississippi is THE number one way that industrial and farm goods are shipped from the heart of America to the rest of the world.
The møøse limbs are deeply offended by our degenerate culture. Mardi Gras is when and where it's most vividly displayed.
So, strategic location, belly of the beast, exact timing, offensive pubic behavior...
Good thing they wouldn't attack at the begining of Lent...

All I can pray and hope is that your call is wrong - UBL, go to Rio where the real degenerates reside!
(Thanks for the analysis Nully, as always.)

To: lodwick; yall
(Thanks for the analysis Nully, as always.)I missed one point.
People come from all over the US to go to Mardi Gras:
Everybody whould know someone who was affected.
In a bioterror attack:
Everybody whould know someone who was infected...
