Did you ever read the original book? It was a lot scarier than the movie version. Peter Capstick's telling of the story is even spookier.

I am so mad at Bill Frist and Orin Hatch I am shaking.
I am beginning to think we would get more done having Tiny Tom Dashle in charge than those two gutless political whores.

Two weeks ago they were promising to go to a true filibuster and force the Dems to hold the floor 24/7 and speak to the topic. They keep wussing out. If the Dims filibuster, they look bad and when they get tired they will make gaffes on camera that we can use against them. It is way past time to set up the cots on the senate floor and get down to it.

Screw the Senate being a collegial Gentleman's Club, I want them to kill someone.

If Frist and Hartch had kept their words, and imposed a strict filibuster 2 weeks ago, they would have gotten their votes at least a week ago and the Dimocrats would be properly cowed. The French have more courage and determination than those two are showing.

The reason the pubbies were smiling was cause they got to go home and sleep in till noon instead of staying on the Senate Floor all night. Just gutless. Orin Harch always has been, and he has infected Frist.
