I would say "incredible," but any more, that sort of thing is SOP with the Dems. It used to be that sexual shenanigans would end a politician's career. Obviously, the Clinton years ended that. Now all they have to do is accuse someone of something far, far worse: uttering the
word. It's a word used by the very people who claim to be most offended by it, a word only they can use with impunity (even when spoken in anger). It's a word that, quite frankly doesn't hurt anyone. (Go ahead, call me cracker - did I bleed? Have a heart attack? Slip a disc?)
We've gone beyond childishness. At least children learn that "words can never hurt me," not being sticks nor stones, but Dems can't grasp that simple notion. To them, the word is worse than a physical attack, it's worse than having an adulterous and dishonest character, it's worse than supporting those who would destroy this country. To utter the word is beyond murder, beyond rape, and so - knowing that their wrongheaded position on the issues won't help them, they resort to making such an accusation. Pathetic.

Hadn't thought about it until I read your post, you're right. Add to that the homophobic card and that's about all the dems have anymore. But it works so well in the minority communities and how in the world do you prove you've never used it?
What does a candidate do when the only paper in town is a co-conspirator? Here in Mike Thomas' column we learn that he admires Barr, he tried to explain away Sheehan's accusations, he figured Dyer for a political opportunist...... but here's the last sentence in the story: I have criticized Dyer more than any candidate in the race. But the city is at too critical a juncture to risk Pete Barr as mayor.
There may be some juicy news on Dyer's campaign finances (aka walking around money) very soon.

Just wanted to clarify my remarks at #90. The N-word is not nice, and I don't justify its use by anyone, regardless of skin color. I don't use it, because it's just not what Christians should call other people, and I have no reason to use hateful language. Having said that, however, I will continue to object to 1) the double standard, whereby rappers and gangbangers can use it with impunity, while crucifying anyone else who might whisper it; and 2) the Democrat practice of falsely accusing Republicans of saying it, in order to garner favor with certain minority groups.
