We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Still a lot of snow out there, though it has melted down from 20 1/2" of snowpak to 17". More melting due today.
Donna Brazile lectures members of the Criminal Party yesterday, telling them they had better listen to Al Sharpton.
The left is believing President Bush is making more allusions to faith in his speeches and is concerned about that.
And Canada says it will not join in a "solo" (non-UN authorized) attack on Iraq.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

The nurse who prepped me for my upper GI scope yesterday has a son who is a Javalin Gunner in the 3rd Bde, 3 ID (Rock of the Marne) in Kuwait. He joined up right after 9/11 to "Defend his country". I told her I would keep Josh and his budies in my prayers.
We are going it alone, and that makes it easier than "allies" we can't trust. When this is over, all of those bastards who wouldn't committ need to be put on a list and not get a damned thing from us.

Care to share? OK, I guess. I was single-handedly trying to deal with a rather big boat, trying to either find a place to tie up or move to a place out of the way of even bigger boats. The boat had some sort of roof and deck below so wasn't just a rowboat.
I got into the boat and almost immediately it started drifting backwards, away from the dock, very quickly. I was in the front of the boat facing the back, but was looking over my shoulder to see where I was going and to find something that I might grab onto.
Soon I looked and the boat had lost it's cover and was nothing but a big, empty hull. The waves were getting big and splashing into the boat and I had a panicked feeling.
There were no oars in the boat, but I found a big pole or mast in the boat and desperately began to try to paddle with it. It seemed that I was able to stop the backward drift, but I was wondering if I could really get anywhere safe as the waves were getting big and I was now so far from where I started.
Then, just as I started to make some progress back to where I started, I looked up and there was a 30-foot tidal wave crashing down on me. I just gave it up and jumped into the wave, saying to God as I did, "You sent this wave. How am I supposed to deal with this? I can't."
That's when I woke up.

We are going it alone, and that makes it easier than "allies" we can't trust. I don't believe we are "alone," though, admittedly, we will pretty much have the sole fighting force in the region - but we would have had that in any event. We are really the only country that can go anywhere on the planet and project power. But I think when this is finished, we should take serious account of who stood with us, and those who didn't.

You really ought to see this table. It shows the countries of the UN Security Council and their human rights ratings in terms of freedom and democracy by four different human rights organizations. As Glenn Reynolds said, "It's pretty obvious why they don't call it the "Freedom Council."

Hey gulfcoast. First time I've had a chance to post on ATRW in awhile. I like our weather down here in the South. Nice and cool with not a single inch of snow in sight.

I think you might be interested in this article. It's written by a guy I met in Singapore. He's a Japanese American who now lives in Israel and pastors the largest "mixed" (Palestinians and Jews) congregation in Israel.

Arn't you over around Slidell? I am in Long Beach with prods me to tell you all that I just got back from my hour and a half walk ALONG THE BEACH in a pair of shorts and half way through pulled my shirt off. My friend JASPER was not at his spot this morning but maybe tomorrow. Lots of jelly fish washed up on the beach, big ones at that and sure would hate to run into one of those this in the water.
Few folks off shore fishing, for white trout I guess and the pelecans, darndest thing I have ever seen, the way they crash into the shallow water for theit meal, ought to break their necsks.
