We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Great Britain says that Al Qa'eda has in their possession a "dirty" bomb.
Meanwhile, United States intelligence is looking for signs of an Iraqi pre-emptive strike.
Deputy Secretary of State Armitage has stated the United States has the assistance of 21 nations in its battle against Iraq - 20 of these have agreed to allow overflights. No details on which ones were available.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I have 2 Harden chairs that were my Mom's. They need to be recovered.. badly. One day I thought..oh what the heck...toss them. Sarah WOULD NOT let me do it. I'm happy knowing that one day she will have them recovered. :-)

Hi Jim. How bad is it that Colin Powell gets a smaller spot on my tv than the postal truck? :-(

I saw that on a bumper sticker several years ago and have always loved it.
I gotta go. Mrs. Mulliner is coming home soon to relieve me, then I have to run to that job and tie up loose ends there.
See you later.

Hi, Dog! I was in the car running errands when I heard the news say there was a postal truck hijacked and a slow pursuit in Florida. I thought to myself, " I kust KNOW this is on Fox!" Sure enough, I was right. Powelll split screen with a postal truck! Jeesh!

Looks like I missed you Mr. M...
About C-SPAN: Years ago it was much better. In fact as late as the early 90s the cable channel, in addition to its mandate to cover Live sessions of the House and Senate, provided Americans across the country abundant access to conservative and liberal conferences in DC - like C-PAC this week. (It happened that there were more conservative organizations and foundations organizing the conferences.)
After its commitment to covering the House and Senate, this aspect was a key plus.
But then the programs changed, and Book TV came along on weekends on C-SPAN II. Gone was a lot of the coverage of the forums and conferences.
Why I've wondered?
This change occurred about the same time as the other changes Utah Girl and Jane wrote about, and I'm convinced the changes had to do with the onset of the x42 years.
Conservatives like me glommed onto the network then - anxious to get thru to conservative journalists on Washington Journal, watching the informative speeches at such events as C-PAC, drawing hope and sustenance that the truth was still out there! Remember this was before Fox News....
And our numbers and response simply overwhelmed the network.
Open phone lines: GONE!
Live, full coverage of conservative speakers: GONE!
Now Brian Lamb first came to DC years ago, an aid to a conservative Senator - this from George Will, at the time another aide to another conservative Senator. Lamb's from the heartland: Lafayette, Indiana.
Maybe he's still conservative, but persuaded or pressured to make the changes. I don't know....And I do occasionally appreciate Book TV, but not nearly so much as I did the former offerings.
C-SPAN's still worthwhile if you get both channels in a basic cable package.
Otherwise it's a tougher decision.

I know that feeling. When my mother died, my 6 yr. old son took one look in the casket and said, "That's not my grandmother", and walked away.
I decided he didn't need the pressure, so when he asked to not attend the funeral, I let him stay home. I figured his happy memories of his GM were worth more than a funeral!
