We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
This is a quick start this morning as I am getting ready to head on over to CPAC, but I will leave you with this thought - Fox News Channel had, for the State of the Union Address, the highest ratings in the network's history.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

"We will never forget that we owe are FREEDOM and Democracy to the United States. We will not forget that Americans lost their lives for it."
Take that, France and Germany!

Continuing saga----
Our Family Member had her interview with the SS today. (She is 7 hours ahead of our Central Time.) She felt it went sort of OK.
I don't know if I mentioned that after the incident happened, she joined the Federal employees union--something she previously had not been intending to do. They immediately provided her with a lawyer, for which she has been very grateful. This lawyer just told her that in the 10 years of this work, she has never had a case like this. (Oh, great!)
After everybody hung up except FM & the SS agent in charge of the inquiry, he told her that the situation had been aggravated by a culture conflict--between State Dept & SS. The female SS agent, after speaking to FM, had emailed that there were no witnesses to the incident claimed by Chelsea & that FM didn't appear to be a threat. However, when FM did what was required by State & immediately notified a superior, who then called SS & said what's up, this girl is not a security problem, then SS gets their feathers ruffled & says you can't tell us how to do our job.
State is fairly flexible if you tell them everything about yourself. She would have lost her job if she had not notified her employers about this situation. But Secret Service feels that no one else has a right to speak to them about their work. (Sigh)
She also found out & is VERY upset that X42 lied about his confrontation & said that she made a series of statements & said ugly things to him--that she hated him & a bunch of other emotionally negative statements. (She told me that if she were to have said those things, she would have said them in a much more succinct & pithy manner than he reported!) Apparently, he said she refused to shake his hand, but he never offered his hand.
The SS has more to do. I don't know when they will close their investigation. Of course, she had to give her immediate family's names, addresses, ph #s, & lots of personal info.
State Dept holds its own inquiry next month regarding her suitability to retain clearance & her professional abilities.
She doesn't understand how people can lie so horribly & readily. And people believe them against their own eyes & all other evidence.
She is severely depressed right now--sleeping too much & eating everything, crying a lot. She is rational & knows she shouldn't be doing this. But it is a natural reaction, especially for someone who has high hopes & aspirations, is an inspired & praised worker, and is of good character--much better character than many of the people she has encountered.
Thank you for all your concern.

Mr. Mulliner, this is one Grandma who LOVES to be considered useful. Glad your girls are feeling better.

Aren't we lucky to have a President with Courage and has already saddled up? I'm so proud of that fellow.
I'm proud we have a First Lady who is not about to turn the Whitehouse into a platform for a group of silly people who want to show their disdain for our coming Defense of America.
We are so lucky to have a President who picked an adminstration where honesty, honor and courage are visible.
Hi Guenie, Neets, MM, Miss M, Molly. Been lurking lately, have been really busy. Did play a lousy game of golf day before yesterday. I think I played every corner of every fareway...terrible game.

ACR...Don't you just love Berlesconi? He is one of my favorites!
UG...I KNEW we would have photos! Ha! Remember, Dascvhle said he wanted photos like Adlai Stevenson had for the Cuban Missile Crisis (no doubt thinking therre were non). Snicker, snort, chuckle, guffaw!
This is turning out to be a good day in diplomacy.

Thank you for sharing all of that with us. It must be terribly difficult for your family member to go through all of this. The good thing is that she has a clean conscience, something that is a powerful weapon in this kind of fight.
We're making paper boats now so that by tomorrow or Saturday, if the creek is still up, we can sail our boats.

How can Daschle and the dim Dems keep shooting themselves in the foot? They really want to win badly in 2004 and regain power. Don't they read the polls? It's a puzzlement to me. (Not that I think the polls are the answer, but the support of the American people for President Bush skyrocketed after the SOTU, and it was already very high.)

Good for you and the 5# loss. I'm expecting the same any day now. :-) My clothes are quite baggy, but the scale doesn't show any new loss since a few weeks ago. All I know is I feel great and the cravings a gone.

Attention all you Fox News watchers.
I just had a phone call from the Dish Network offering service. Currently we just have antennae and are limited to 4 channels. We watch very little TV (about 5 hours/week) so we're not really shopping for more channels, but I did listen to the sales pitch.
What I heard did interest me enough to take down the information for later consultation with Mrs. Mulliner. For $24.99/mo. and free installation and equipment, we could get over 70 channels. It all sounded pretty good.
But then it dawned on me that I had not told her that I want Fox News. In fact, I would not consider getting any kind of TV package without it. Well, that is NOT one of the 70+ channels. To get Fox News, we'd have to go to their next package, over 120 channels, and pay $33.99/mo. That basically would mean we'd be paying $9/mo. more just so we could watch Fox News.
Argh! I can tell you right now, the answer is NO! I think this family will remain an illiterate family with regard to American pop culture unless we can get a much better deal than that.

Call Direct TV. That is their competitor. I believe you can get Fox at a cheaper rate.
However, to me it is worth even $100/month to get Fox News. But then, I am a news junky, and have the news on all day. :-)
